Summery of The Aniryu
The Aniryu as a Species are of great curiosity to the Ambassadors that first found their planet. Mostly in how similar they were to the last sapient species they had found Humans. Both are warm-blood, furred and feed their live-born young milk. Both are highly Social, highly cooperative and dangerous.
Above is a Group of Carriers from the same “Hive”, which are similar to females in Humans. Though unlike them, only the largest most socially dominant female reproduces, having litters of 6-20 larva. The amount seems to be dependent on how long the “Queen” has been in position for; older queens having larger litters.
Curiously there are two other Castes of Carriers, A Tool Carrier and a Work Carrier. The smaller Tool Carriers often were spotted walking bipedally freeing four limbs to delicate tool making. The Work Carriers are larger and have the same two arms, four leg body plan of the Queens, there seems to be something that keeps these females from reproducing though, as despite the caste seeming to still couple with Bringers not larva where seen carried in their tails. .
Once the Larvae Pupate, they enter a second state of adolescence. Their newly skin covered forms are spotted unlike the adults. they can matured to any of the castes within there sex.
Bringers are similar to the Human male, they are much smaller than Carriers and much more common at want seems to be a 3 to 1 ratio. This small size is likely due to the fact all bringers Fly, their lower legs modified into wings of skin and a colourful chitin scale. It seems the Castes are not as different in form as the Carriers, though the largest seem to have brighter colours and fluffier antennae. These where seen mostly around Queens so maybe the reproductive members of the sex.
It’s common to see the Bringer riding on top of the carriers, gripping the long hairs there to stay in place. They also rarely are seen alone, the Ambassador reported only a handful of cases were one one bringer was seen even though Carriers were commonly seen alone. In most cases of a lone bringer it seemed to be in distress calling out loudly and leaking water from its eyes. “Crying” is another thing they share with Humans, being the only two aliens known to our archives to do so.
They have been classified as a No Contact species that matched their sister Sentients Humans. Both species being too dangerous, they have only just started traveling to their moon so it’s unlikely that this will become a problem. As such species tend to kill themselves off before they can find the interstellar community themselves
