The Proprietor of This Place is a Man of Taste
3 OCT 1886. Austin Daily Statesman.
A NEAT ROOM.
A neat room and dwelling is the best badge of gentility. If a person has any taste and judgement it will surely appear in the comfort and adornment of his home or place of business. Any one going into the Occidental saloon, owned by Mr. John Muntich, would at once say “the proprietor of this place is a man of taste and with an eye to the neat and cosy.” As improved and beautified, the saloon is exceedingly inviting. The papering and the general arrangement of the saloon are in the best of taste -- neat without any pretense of show, and without a taint of gaudiness. Mr. Muntich or, as he is better known, “The Professor,” is a gentleman, and his saloon is always quiet and orderly. He allows no boisterous conduct -- it is a place where gentlemen may congregate and be unmolested by bar room roughs, be at ease. The Professor furnishes the best of drinks, and in case of sickness he has a remedy that never fails of cure. Visit him in his neat new parlor.
