the demon looks at the hunter and gives a shrug. "if you don't want my help, then fine," no skin off her teeth if the hunter doesn't want to play. "but i walk out those doors, and you against every demon out there that wants a piece of you."
@occultamonstri liked Nia's starter call
"Hi, I'm Nia, I'm the owner." She stepped around the bar and looked at the woman the bartender on duty had told her about. "And I hear that you're looking for a job."

“Clearly,” he grins, “if you’re here tossing that ‘I hate the world scowl’ at everyone, it’s obviously not life-threatening.” But his gaze flicks over her, trying to find the injury when he sighs, “so what happened?” Gabriel raises a brow as if to ask if it was simply another mortal or something else, and its far too telling in this place, a look, a glance and anyone’s code can be deciphered. But he doesn’t care, why should he? No one thinks anything of him, he’s just a man sitting next to a woman with a drink in front of him on a sticky bar counter. No one knows who he is and it makes him want to laugh but he doesn’t, his gaze still lingering on the woman beside him, brow furrowing now. “Please don’t tell me you decided to do something, quote unquote ‘stupid,’ and go off on your own into the dark tunnel with just a flashlight and a gun.” His tongue runs along the backs of his teeth and he knows he probably doesn’t even need her to answer that as he sighs and shakes his head. “Come on then,” he gestures toward the door leading out of the bar, “show me.”

“It’s not. I know it’s not.” Trust was earned, and fought for, and given when it felt right, like you could depend on the other person. Bonnie knew this well, had trusted the wrong people and been burned far too many times. And yet... “But right now, we’re all each other’s got.”

Concern flooded her features at the other’s expression and words. “Hey. What’s wrong?” Laurel glanced around the area to check for whatever seemed to have spooked the other woman. “What do you need?”

Lucifer picked up two glasses from the bar and moved to meet Ry, having seen her enter. He set the glass before her as he stepped up to the standing table and smiled engagingly, “Are you waiting for one of your hunter friends or did you finally choose to come as my guest? Let me guess, neither, you just like the free drinks.”
