Mapping Occursus
For the second year running Dr Amanda Crawley Jackson of The University of Sheffield has been nominated by students as an inspirational figure. In order to understand some of the phenomenal work that Dr Jackson is engaged in, we here at Inspiration & Co, have set about mapping the locations of groups , sites and events that she is engaged with. The nexus around which most of Amanda's work converges is occursus. Amanda is the director of the occursus research & public engagement project, which is a collaborative venture between the University of Sheffield and Site Gallery. occursus is a loosely organised, interdisciplinary collective of writers, artists and researchers. Founded in 2011, occursus hosts and develops reading groups, workshops, public seminar series, writing, exhibition curation and publication. If you're intrigued by Amanda's work, head over to our website and cast your vote for her. www.inspirationand.co.uk/inspiration-co-voting/
Doctor Amanda Crawley Jackson from The University of Sheffield's French Department talks about event-focussed teaching, the inspirational Garden Street and a theoretical 'style points' marking system for coursework in this S1 finalist chat with Inspiration & Co.
If you're a student at The University you can vote for Dr Jackson to host a talk as part of Inspiration & Co's premiere season of events this February atwww.inspirationandco.co.uk/
