The Neverland/Sunrise Method
I did not create this method consciously so please keep that in mind, it kind of just happened and I got really close to shifting with it.
This method similar to @kd_mouse on tiktok’s ADHD method in the way that it has a variant for people with a mental illness. This method is mainly targeted to those with OCD but it can be used by everyone. Since I struggle with normal visualization because I tend to get interrupted by my obsessions I thought that I would create a method that has a safety feature for you to cope with obsessions should they arise.
This method is completely safe to be mixed with other methods.
1. Do whatever you usually do before shifting, whether that’s drinking lots of water, meditating, showering, etc. (I make shifting water)
2. Lie down in a comfortable position. It doesn’t have to be starfish but you’re welcome to do that.
3. Think of someone who you will wake up next to or near in your DR. That person can be in the same bed as you, the same room, the same house, the same neighborhood, or even the same city. Just someone who is in close proximity to you when you wake up.
4. Visualize that person grabbing your hand and leading you through the roof of wherever you are. If you’ve ever done astral exercises then it should be just like that. Do this part over and over again until you can really feel their hand.
5. Visualize them flying you to where you wake up in your DR. It helps if it is night when you visualize(even if it’s not currently night, it being night will be important later) As you are flying visualize your orself/original reality self morphing into your drself/desired reality self. The two of you are flying peter pan style(hence the name) whilst still holding hands. Focus on the feeling of their hand and the feeling of the(potential) wind around you because of your altitude.
6. As you fly visualize a barrier, mine is the Atlantic Ocean because we’re flying from West Coast U.S. to London. While you are flying over the barrier ask them where the two of you are going. They reply with some variant of “Home.”(This may change based on relationship and personality).
This is the part where my obsessions usually take over and I find it hard to visualize without them interrupting. But with the right counters we can overcome them.
7. Should OCD related things happen while crossing the barrier(Or during any other part of this method), close your eyes. Focus on what you feel instead of what you see. How does flying feel? How does it feel to be around such strong winds? Is it cold? How does the person from your DR’s hand feel? Is it warm to the touch or cold? What do you hear? Do you hear wind? Traffic? Ocean waves? Something entirely different?
If this doesn’t help I find it best to transition to a non-visualization method for a bit and then start over or pick up where you left off. Raven usually works for me in this situation.
8. Once you have crossed the barrier arrive at the the place where you wake up in your DR. I visualize flying over England until we make it to Suburban London but you can do whatever you like.
9. Now it’s time to go into the specific place where you wake up, If the person wakes somewhere else visualize them dropping you off and then flying away in the direction where they wake up. Visualize yourself climbing into the room where you wake up(through the window if there is one).
10. Climb into bed or wherever else you wake up in your DR. Before you close your eyes and go to sleep, look out through the window where you came. The sun is just beginning to rise over the trees, houses, mountaintops, skyscrapers, in the horizon. You’ve made it. Close your eyes and thank the universe for all it has gifted you tonight.
11. Sleep tight and wake up in your DR.
