Emerging from Hammerlocke’s gym, Rose plastered a smile back on his face. He and Oleana had been down in the power plant, checking up on... certain things, and subsequently was on edge, frazzled. The last thing he felt like doing was going into the public and forcing on a cheerful demeanour, but needs must.

As expected, a couple of people began to gravitate toward him and Oleana, hoping for autographs, pictures, and he felt his mood start to lighten a little -

‘The Chairman has had a busy day, please, disperse,’ Oleana said.

‘Ahh, it’s fine, Oleana. I can take some time out for nice chat and a few signatures,’ Rose countered, with a quick glance around to see how many people were heading his way.

    “Woww! Lookit all these clothes!” Morn had stopped by the boutique in Wedgehurst and was peering through the display window. The clothes on display were a lot more trendy than her hand-me-down uniform.

  Her fingers pressed against the glass and she fogged it with a sigh. “Wouldn’t suit me anyway... And I gotta save my money for the train ticket.”

  Curious, she did reach to take her wallet from her bag... Only to come to a horrible realization.

   “ I DROPPED MY BAG!” Heck! She spun away from the window, “Excuse me! You there! Have you seen a ratty brown bag?!”

           It had been agreed that the happy would join a visit to Summer. Ho-Oh especially had been nagging Shugo, mentally pecking his consciousness over and over, as they insisted that he check up on Summer. He rubbed his head to guard against the invisible assault, eyes narrowed at the floor.

        “Is Ho-Oh excited?” His girlfriend asked, her arms wrapped around his as they walked arm-in-arm.

        “Mm... They’re such a pain. Summer isn’t even their chosen.” Shugo sighed, “I hope Summer’s Ho-Oh friend doesn’t get... territorial, or something.”

           Satou giggled. “If it was going to be a problem, we would know by now. By the way... Who’s meeting us here?”

        “Ponyo, I think. Dimitri said he would catch up in a few minutes.”

     The train ride to Motorstoke was amazing. Lillie was floored by the view of the wild areas that flashed by through the windows. She eventually decided that she wanted to watch the scenery, but that required she find a sitting table with a wider window. And unfortunately, the train was already quite full.

      She carefully navigated her way down an aisle, searching for an empty table. After realizing there were none, she gathered her courage and began talking to strangers.

     “Um... Excuse me?” Lillie asked cautiously, “Is it okay if I sit here...? I’ve never seen the wild area before...”

Ponyo looked up at him, blinking. “Well, why wouldn’t I be? I’m here, I have my Pokemon, and nothing bad has happened, so I can be happy.” He smiled at Bede, catching Quake with one arm when the Gible jumped on him. “Also, my birthday is next month, and this is the first year that I get to celebrate it with momma and Poppa!” Shouldn’t most kids be excited for Christmas right now?

Bede scoffed. “How juvenile.” he said with a dramatic eyeroll. Not quite getting the point that they ARE children he added “Birthdays are for children.”

Then he heard what the boy said and his eyes widened. “Wait....are you adopted?”

Perhaps he had more in common with the peppy lad than he thought.

A skittish looking girl approached, a Eevee and Porygon-Z beside her. The two Pokemon were wearing Assistant Pokemon vest, and the Eevee gave the girls leg a light headbutt and she began talking. "Hi, I'm here to adopt a Pokemon. These two are my therapy Pokemon, so I need someone that will get along with them." That seemed well rehearsed!

N was taking a moment to fidget with his bracelets, with a minccino in his lap, when his eyes noticed the shine of a metal leg that was attached to an Eevee. He gave the eevee and the porygon a small smile, before turning his attention to the human in front of her, oblivious to her nervous ways. 

“One that gets along with you friends here... I see.” He didn’t seem to notice anything wrong with her physically, so it must be something related to her mental state, though he had no idea where to start with that. “Unfortunately, many of the pokemon here are rescues of some sort, and have difficulties that that might not be best for your situation.” Though he still wasn’t sure what was her situation, nor did he care to ask about it. 

It was at that moment that the minccino spoke up, her bright and eager smile releasing small squeaks. “Uh huh.... I see... so you volunteering yourself? Well... you did say you wanted to be adopted along with the others, and help others like we helped you....” Wow, he didn’t expect this, but the staff were going to miss this little one. Still, she always wanted to help people, and this could be the perfect opportunity for her to do good. “Well, you did hear what she said, right? She wants to help you out. Don’t worry, she’s very helpful and friendly, and likes to clean like many other minccino. So, if you would like, I can send you four to one of the tables over there and get the paperwork all sorted out.”

Background: A formerly liberated pokemon who decided on her own that her trainer didn’t need her anymore. An odd case for sure, but in general has gotten along with many of the staff and other pokemon at the rescue center. Always very helpful and caring, she was loved by staff and pokemon alike.

Notes: Is most satisfied when she is helping, so make sure to give her tasks to do. Chores would be best. Just make sure that she does not overstep the bounds of the therapy pokemon, as she’s not trained to help humans in need of therapy.

Ponyo was walking around with Sheeran, his Dewgong. It had been a boring day so far, everybody had been busy so he had to entertain himself. And he had for a while! Between putting on a winter dress simply because it matched Sheeran, training, exploring the woods, trying to study, and wandering through town, he had managed to keep himself busy. Now he was at a cafe, looking at all the treats available, and the kind lady had offered him her cake!

Ponyo got stars in his eyes as he nodded quickly. “Yes please!”

Sheeran gave the lady a skeptical look before relaxing slightly. She seems to be protective of him.

Ah to be young and be allowed to wander around without a chaperone. The Pokemon he was with was so majestic looking... 

She placed the plate in front of him, “Here, then. I would hate for it to go to waste.”

Cake for the starter thing, with Ponyo on my ocean-gray-waves account

Kida stared down at an adorable little cake that sat on a little plate in front of her. It was topped with glazed strawberry. She stared at it as if it was taunting her. She wanted to eat it... she really did... but she could already feel her stomach ache from it just by looking at it. 

She needed to get it out of her sight as soon as possible!

Looking around, she saw a child nearby, and deciding to take the opportunity, she walked over towards her, and offered her the cake. 

“Do you want this? Otherwise, I will throw it out.“ She would feed it to Jiji, but honestly that little puffball does not need the extra calories either.
