For the past two weeks, Xion had felt overwhelmingly useless. He couldn’t help when Pokemon began to Dynamax, couldn’t help keep Morn from being reckless, and now he couldn’t even repay the woman who had endorsed him for the league.
Sitting at a cafe, Xion scanned his endorsement letter over and over again. He was burning the optimistic message into his mind.
“I believe that this young man, Xion, will go far if given the chance. As such, I will be endorsing him for the Galar Pokemon League. I understand the dangers of his Nuzlocke condition and will support him regardless.”
He folded the letter back into its envelope and sighed. On the glittery pink envelope was his endorser’s name: Kuroneko, Satou.
Hi!
So, I’m doing this!
It’s a fun event to welcome a muse I’ve been working on for a bit.
And also as a little experiment thing for me to see if yknow if I can do things like this without fucking it up so here we go.
The Tag to use when making a Post about it or if you’re participating in it is: [event: ar mew geddon]
The Basic Summary of what’s happening so far is: A Mewtwo Macro Cosmos made to use as the Region’s New Energy Source has broken out and is looking to cause chaos, he’s the antagonist for this Event.
His Escape has caused a Region-Wide Power Outage, no TV, Computers, all of that, is all out, only Radios and Walkie Talkies and such will work.
His Escape has also caused a shockwave of Dynamax Energy around Hammerlocke, and Rampaging Dynamaxed Pokemon now litter the area around Hammerlocke including in the Wild Area outside of it.
How to Participate: Simply make a post about it, say, your muse fighting off Rampaging Dynamax Pokemon, or your muse reacting to the power outage. When you participate, again, please use the tag [event: ar mew geddon].
You can make your own tags if you want but if you do please include the official tag along with your custom tag in the post so people can find it.
There could also be chances for your muse to encounter Mewtwo, or perhaps engage him in battle.
If your muse is a Gym Leader you can certainly look forward to that :>c
There will be updates on this Event posted here, I will make a Post updating you on what’s happening when something new happens with Mewtwo.
This is my first event so please bare with me here as I figure things out.
Other than that, I’m looking to have fun here, and I hope you all have fun too!
Xion and Morn had finally made it to the train. They had purchased legal tickets, boarded, and found an empty table to share. For two kids that were running away from home, they were being surprisingly well behaved on the train. Even Morn was more interested in her new Scorbunny than she was in being a brat.
That is. Until the ticket conductor came. He noticed their school uniforms and knew right away that they were escaping the boarding school.
“I’m going to have to send you both back..” He had started.
“No way in hell, mister!” Morn stood up and shouted, “We ain’t goin back, ye here? We’re payin’ customers’n we got tickets fair n square!”
“Uhhh these aren’t our uniforms! We stole them– oh wait.” Xion’s lie only dug their grave deeper. Really. He needed to learn that he was a horrid liar.
Ah, the Galar region! How long Dax had put off this trip, when really she shouldn’t have. There was so much to take in; the rolling green countryside, the fresh and crisp air, the conductor hassling two young kids- wait. Doing a double-take, Dax listened in to the conversation a bit more. They had purchased those tickets, so what if they were in uniform? Stealing them was clearly a lie - they fit the kids too well to be stolen.
The conductor stood firm, though, arms crossed and a deep-set frown on his face. Knowing it was now or never, Dax silently stood and made her way over. “There you two are!” she said with relief that was somewhat forced. “I looked all over the platform…” she turned to the conductor with a hand on Morn’s shoulder. “Thank you for finding them for me, sir, I didn’t think they were going to charge ahead and get their own seats.” Turning back to the kids, she gave them a stern look, but was sure to wink when the conductor wouldn’t see. “We’re going to have some stern words about this later.”
The two kids initially fell into a safe silence. They weren’t sure what to make of Dax: Was she actually mistaking them for some other kids, or...?
It was Morn who caught on first. She leaned against the table and put on a show of moaning irritably, “Awww! Gross, she caught up to us, Xi!”
“H-Huh? But I don’t kno--” Morn kicked his foot under the table and Xion shut up. Good. At least he trusted her enough to follow her lead. As the conductor seemed ready to give up and leave, Morn’s expression slipped into a cheeky grin.
“You owe us an apology, mister! You were really rude to your paying customers!” Perhaps she was pushing her luck... But the gamble payed off. The man, though equally annoyed and embarrassed, bowed to the trio and promised to bring them a complimentary tea. Then he hurried down the aisle, fleeing the scene that had begun making him look bad.
Morn waited until she saw him leave to the next train car... Then she laughed. “Nice one, lady! You wanna stick around and get that free tea he promised?”
“I think we just ruined someone’s hard work day...” Xion sighed.
Nope. Unlike you, I don’t tell other people’s things.
... Ouch. Morn shuddered.
“Yeah, well... Xion’s not mad. So why should you be, huh?” She asked sharply, trying not to let herself sound as hurt as she was. “Xion.... forgave me. Again. Like always...”
ocean-gray-waves:Aerosmith gave the glare right back. And why should I tell you, miss “I yelled at my best friend and a nice trainer then exposed my friends secret.”
How do they know that?!
“How do you know that?!” Morn blurted defensively... But they weren’t wrong. She tensed and lowered her head.
“She would find out eventually... A, and! She’s not nice.”
Morn paced around Route 2, her arms crossed over her chest the whole time. She had been mean to both Xion and Lillie. Mean to two cinnamon rolls! Oooh, she had it coming! Sorta.
Unfortunately, there was no one around who was willing to tell her off.
“Why why why why WHY?” She half-growled, half-shrieked, “If they don’t get mad back, I’m just gonna get MORE angry! I hate it, hate them, hate everything...!”
Xion did not find Morn at the Pokemon Center, nor had he expected to. When she was in such a foul mood, Morn did one of two things: Take it out on others, or run away so she had no one to take it out on. He knew she wouldn’t go somewhere public and risk another outburst.
Instead, he found her curled up in some bushes by the Wedgehurst Pokemon Lab. She was hugging her knees close to her chest and sniffling against big tears. Xion knelt down in front of her and held out a pink handkerchief.
“I don’t think Lillie hates you.” He assured her, startling her with his voice.
Morn looked up, both surprised and not. She had been trying to hide away from him, but realized now that was a pointless effort. Xion could always find her, because she never really tried to hide from him. She had only been pretending not to want him around.
She accepted the fabric and wiped her face. “I know… I don’t hate her either.”
“You were really mean to her, though.” Xion added, his tone scolding, “You have to apologize.”
“Yeah…” Morn sighed into her answer. And apologize she would. Someone who was as bad tempered as she was also had to get good at apologies.
Xion settled down on his knees as Morn folded her own under her body. Facing him, she saw his expectant expression. Oh right. Speaking of apologies and owing them.
“... Sorry I yelled at you, Xion. I was being a jerk.”
“Yeah, you were.” Xion agreed, “What are you gonna do about it?”
“Mrgh.” Her lips came together tightly. What was she supposed to do? She’d long since overused the offer to buy him apology ice cream or sugary drinks… He’d told her what he wanted, too, time and time again. It was the hardest thing to give, but she knew it was the only proper response.
“I’m gonna try harder not to blow up next time.” She answered, “I really am.”
“I know you are. You went three whole days without getting into a fight this time.” Xion smiled, “Thank you, Morn.”
“Y, Yeah…” She averted her gaze, cheeks tinted pink by his silly gratitude. “I was jealous. She’s got an endorsement and gets to take on the league, and we don’t.”
“That’s why you picked a fight with her? That’s silly, Morn. We can’t take her endorsement.”
“I know! But I… I wanted to prove she was weaker than me. I thought I’d feel better if she was weak and got the endorsement. Then I could...ye know…”
“Throw a pity party?” Xion finished.
Morn frowned firmly, which confirmed he was right.
He snickered, covering his mouth as if to hide his cruel amusement. Before Morn could angry, Xion corrected his laugh into a quiet smile-- and Morn took over, laughing at herself instead.
“Yeah, I was being stupid.” She agreed, “It made sense at the time… But it backfired. I got my ass kicked to the Distorted World and back.”
“Usaki still needs to be healed, too.” Xion stood up, offering his tear-stained friend a hand. Morn considered his offer with a five second stare, then accepted and let him drag her to her feet.
“Yeah. I’m a shitty trainer to make Usaki wait, huh?”
“Just apologize to him when he wakes up.” Xion answered, “Lillie wants to have lunch with us. Let’s get healed up and go meet her. Maybe she knows someone that could endorse us!”
Morn nodded. With the matter settled, Xion began heading out of the bushes. Soon they would be in public again and Morn would have to keep her emotions in check. So before he got far, she called out in a shy yell:
“Xi! Thanks! For forgivin’ me! ‘n all that shit!”
He paused and turned to look at her. Then, grinning his usual ditzy grin, he yelled back:
“Forgiveness isn’t shit, silly!” And then went on his way, with Morn close behind.
“I’m here with my… trainer, and I’m exploring a bit on my own. I guess there’s a chance you’ve met him? His name is Night.” She smiles at them, then tilts her head. “Slumbering Weald?”
“Night... Oh!” Xion did remember him. Night had even given Xion one of his rare league cards. The boy retrieved the card from his wallet and held it out for Laika to see.
“Is this Night?”
He paused to let Laika look at the card before continuing, “Mm. It’s an area near Postwick. It’s off limits apparently.”

Lillie surprised herself by being the first one outside. There was a battle court near the hotel she had been staying at-- an amenity for guests to use,-- and she marched to it with controlled steps. Controlled, but angry. The image of Morn yelling at Xion bothered her horribly. It reminded her of Lusamine--
She shook her head, dispelling the unpleasant memory. Standing at her side of the court, Lillie waited for Morn.
Morn stomped to her side of the court. There was no controlling her cycling anger. One second, Morn would be angry at Lillie. Then she’d be mad at herself for yelling at Xion. Then she would be more mad at Lillie for “starting” this, and increasingly frustrated when she didn’t remember what Lillie had started, or how.
By the time that the short tempered girl was standing in place, Lillie had already released her Sobble. Braven watched Morn expectantly, which only served to anger the teen more.
“You’re supposed to WAIT!” Morn yelled across the court, “Ugh! C’mon, Usaki! Little Miss Princess Lillie thinks she can buy new rules for her fights!”
Lillie’s mouth fell open. That was so upsetting that it bypassed making her angry and simply left her flabberghasted.
It was only now that Xion caught up with them. His arms were full of healing items and he was balancing his Grookey on his head. When he saw the two girls about to fight, he swallowed nervously. “P, Please… Be careful, you two. Pokemon battles aren’t for solving temper problems…”
“Who said I had a temper problem?!” Morn shrieked.
Everyone said it.
Except Xion. He never brought up Morn’s temper. He knew it was something she wanted to work on, but didn’t know how to help. He only knew how to weather his best friend’s mood swings. So he stood on the sidelines, ready to heal her when she calmed down.
“Please, still be careful. Sobble has a type advantage over Scorbunny. If you lose your head to anger, you’ll make yourself vulnerable to it.”
“I know that!” Morn smirked now, “That’s why I challenged her. I am, after all, a prodigy. Beating a Sobble with a Scorbunny will come naturally to me. Right, Usaki?”
“Buu!” Usaki cried out in delight, his faith entirely placed in Morn’s ability.
Xion’s shoulders sunk. He looked so upset that Lillie called out, partially from concern.
“Xion! Would you do the honors and count down to start?” She asked gently. Compared to Morn, her emotions were far more in check. Unlike Morn, apparently, Lillie was able to comprehend what set her off and reason her way into a calmer state.
“Yes, of course.” Xion nodded, “One second!”
He gently set the healing supplies on the ground. During those agonizing many-one-seconds, Sobble and Scorbunny stared each other down. Lillie, too, took a good look at the opposing trainer. Morn’s arms were crossed again and her posture was rigid. Something was deeply disturbing her, but Lillie didn’t know what it was. She knew her own initial anger had been at Morn’s apparent bullying Xion, but what had set the other girl off?
And to think, I thought we could all be friends. Lillie exhaled, Maybe we still can. Didn’t the Kahuna say that Pokemon Battles are our way of understanding one another?
She took a closer look at Morn and Scorbunny. I’ll do my best in this fight, so I can understand you. And become your friend!
“Actually, I don’t stay in Galar. I fly here on Latias, do patrols and what nots here, then I fly back home in Unova for a two hour nap before morning patrol.”
That’s not healthy.
“I never claimed it to be.”
“Unova?” Xion gasped, “That’s so far away..! I’ve got Unova gym leader cards, but I’ve never been there myself.”
He had to fight the urge to ask more questions about Unova.
“Wait. What’s a Latias? You’re so mysterious, Ms Summer...”
