Gene Warmup Doodle

Over the past few days (weeks) while I've been super sick I've just been going through old art I drew for my comic and I found a bunch of the art that me and @oceandiagonale did of each other's OCs-- including this one thats set at the end of the "Lux Was Hurt By Poison!" post (this one) that I don't remember posting:

I really wanted to redraw the comics with the trios new designs but just settled on a warmup sketch of gene.

@oceandiagonale hunted for a shiny Rookidee for weeks, but I just found a shiny Corviknight by accident while trying to get a normal colored gigantamax Appletun. So I decided to make it into a Christmas gift for them.

If you don't know, they've got a great AU starring their player character OC, Generic Protagonist. Higly recommend to Guzma fans.

The girl is my player character, who is also a self insert, Dora.

Generic Y. Protagonist

I couldn't help it-- I had to draw him again...

A little context: I needed 5 protags for a particular (extremely overcomplicated) panel for Broken Oracles, but I only have 4 (technically 3???)

So I decided to add Generic Protagonist, an amazing character created by the wonderful @oceandiagonale, as well as the main inspiration for my entire comic, to the lineup.

Inspired by this lovely post by @oceandiagonale and the way he draws lux (i adore it so much) as well as Gene's infamous cursed open-fire cooking

Yup. When I said zero self-preservation, I meant it. Just completely 100% oblivious to his own health. He's lucky his travelling companion is a medic 😅

Oblivion Wing

This was originally supposed to be a sketch for a mini comic based on a LONG twitter thread between me and @oceandiagonale about Lux and Gene's trauma, but I ended up adding more and more details and effects until it turned into this 😅

Edit: Let it be known that I have never drawn Yveltal before now and my god I hate drawing legendaries
