A little context: I needed 5 protags for a particular (extremely overcomplicated) panel for Broken Oracles, but I only have 4 (technically 3???)
So I decided to add Generic Protagonist, an amazing character created by the wonderful @oceandiagonale, as well as the main inspiration for my entire comic, to the lineup.
But just look at these two! It's taken me a while to develop their dynamic, but looking at these two (work in progress) panels I think I've finally realised how much I love them in the same room together
So I have decided that I will most likely be adding to this post once I've drawn some more scenes showing these two being lovable idiots as a sorta shippy appreciation post.
Also I have no idea what their ship name would be.
Fuyushi?
Hiroki?
Yanata?
Hinagi?
Fuck knows-- all that matters is that I love them.
Redrew an old(ish) drawing of my main three bois, now with their new Galar (SwSh) designs and I'm super happy with how it turned out! First thing I've fully coloured and shaded in a hot minute so I was pleasantly surprised it didn't end up looking like complete garbage
I put it upon myself to create a new colouring style because it turns out the one that I was using to colour the pages of my comic was driving me insane.
There's bit of a mini update about the comic under the cut
There probably won't be any updates for the comic for a while still, but that's just because I have something planned to make it so there's a little less time between updates in the future.
I will orobably also be redrawing the first few pages because I'm not entirely happy with how the turned out-- though the dialogue and "plot structure" would be essentially the same
The majority of the new pages will either be shaded very simply like this:
OR they won't be shaded at all like this:
It'll probably depend on how much attention I want to draw to each individual panel.
Another reason why I'm taking forever to get the comic to a standard where I'm happy to post it is because I'm really struggling with the layout and making it easier to read on small screens.
Decided to try something completely new and focus on a scene rather than a character-- I think this turned out pretty well for my first proper try at it in a HOT minute
Apologies for this taking so long-- I was originally planning on making each part 10 pages long, but seeing how long it takes to make each panel, let alone each page, I thought it would be better to just post however many pages I think would fit the pacing best.
Also, for those of you who don't know, I just got a full-time job so I'm going to have significantly less time to draw. That means that updates are gonna be pretty scarce, but I'll find a way to keep this going all the way to the end. (I'm trying to save up for an iPad so I can draw during my lunch breaks but it's probably gonna take like three months at least to get that kinda money)
