The Abyss | Into the darkness of Hadal zone
Beneath the ocean's surface, there is a world that is even more extreme than outer space, and that is the Hadal zone. This region is located inside deep ocean trenches and extends from 6,000 meters to almost 11,000 meters below the ocean's surface. In this zone, sunlight is absent, the temperature is just a few degrees above freezing, and the pressure is so great that it can crush any unprotected life form instantly.
