I was able to reconnect with a very old Lightwalker friend of mine, back from the ancient medieval times. I am very glad to see that she's been doing fine on her own travels. We spent the majority of the day trading stories of our own travels. I told her about the planet I stumbled across that was covered mostly in water, and she told me of a planet that was inhabited entirely by arachnid like creatures. There's a planet somewhere out there that I have yet to get in which the dominate species, who are all very spider like in their own right, has a symbiotic relationship with their planet's equivalent of sharks. Truly fascinating, I do really wish to see if for myself.
It was nice to see her again. It had been a few millennia, she left a few years before I did, and contact became harder and harder to maintain after that. I had given up hope that I'd be able to speak with her again, so it was truly a surprise to get to meet with her again today. as strange as a planet it was to find her on. Over time the planet has been slowly drifting closer and closer to it's own sun, but at just a slow enough rate for life to spring up and adapt to the rising temperatures. It has actually risen so high at this point that parts of the planet's surface have turned to solid glass. She doesn't normally like the heat so it was interesting to see her so comfortable in such a hot place. Of course how hot or cold an object or place doesn't have a real impact on us as a voidlight or lightwalker, though we do still tend to find ourselves drawn to areas and temperatures that are more aligned with our own elements.
Speaking of, the residents of this planet seemed to be very welcoming, and informed us that they've actually been seeing a steady decline in temperatures as of late and that it's the colder months now. I personally found that surprising given temperatures were still easily reaching 90°C in the shade. It's a wonder the planet has any liquid water on its surface at all really.
As always, I update about my travels again tomorrow.
End log.
