#holy shit art -> art (that's not mine) that I love
OC info & tags under the cut
#oc: dilynrae melarn -> my main active d&d oc in a 7 year long game. She's a drow/shadar'kai divine sorlock for the Raven Queen and currently imprisoned by her mother to force her to become Chosen of Lolth.
#otp: you make me feel -> Dilyn and her Grim Reaper bf, Vulen. She made him, Shadar'kai, feel and experience emotions and the love and joy of life. They're both Reapers for the RQ; Vulen's a ship captain who specifically reaps the souls from the seas/pirates/etc. while Dilynrae specifically hunts down liches and Acererack.
#x: with you by my side -> Dilyn and her ex-fiancé, Elam Baenre (my toxic af otp). He's currently got her literally collared with a magic choker that makes her magically neutered, *highly* susceptible to his and her mother's evils plans and suggestions. She's in a rough spot with the party nowhere in sight.
#oc: mal of meat and thorn / #oc: mal of spore and bone -> my feywild drow druidlock galavanting across the multiverse with her goober friends. She's currently in Barovia with Star, a Vistani native, and they're gonna kill Strahd.
#otp: is that what you call it -> Mal and Prince Algatharis (Tharis), the prince she rescued from Sisyphean tasks given to him by Night Hags. They later studied to become druids together.
#oc: reynard the fool -> My poor insane jester rogue and incarnation of the lost god of death. She went insane with the knowledge and was tricked by and fell in love with the trickster god, Lucien, and triggered the apocalypse and killed all her friends! Yup! That's how my first ever multi-year dnd campaign ended!!! My wife was the DM 🥰
#syzygy -> the Lovecraftian sci-fi comic I'll eventually draw
This is so important though: "You're gonna get in trouble for that" reveals so much. He was planning on nobody doing anything, not because nobody stands up to him, or nobody objecting to what he says. He expects good people to be goody-two-shoes rules followers, and he expects the rules to protect him no matter what he does.
Important lesson to learn from this standing up to fascists means getting into good trouble. Get into trouble if it's worth it. Fascists will never expect it.
Ozempic scares the shit out of me. You're telling me there's a drug that takes away both the craving side of hunger and targets the brain's rewards center for eating. You're telling me it takes the joy out of eating and it turns you into a skeleton. Why did we turn The Curse of the Black Pearl into a drug. What the fuck.
"To the best of my knowledge, that was the first show that truly approached the look of the TV show itself in terms of cinema in terms of, "How much of the story can we tell visually?" "How much can we make this look like not just a movie but a really wonderfully shot movie?" - Vince Gilligan on what he learned from The X-files
[as if this is not a normal and natural human thing to want] yeah i just really want to connect with people for some reason. Like some weird loser freak

i do feel like valanna's hand writing would be a more elegant style of the drow rounded. open tags for anyone who would like to do this that hasn't done it already 𖹭.ᐟ
not all of us can live in fantasy 100% the time like i see some people on here do and it's refreshing to learn something new. its been philosophy, essays, and history for me and i feel much more at home on planet Earth for it knowing that people have been struggling and wishing similarly for millenia.
its not that fiction doesnt have its place, its important and healthy to exercise the imagination, but non-fiction can do so much to boost and supplement that. if not for yourself, for your art or for the people you're around
this version of the post doesnt seem to be getting much traction but this is arguably the most important reason why we should be reading nonfiction in addition to fiction
do u ever think about corn sweat; and the fact that a large percent of corn grown in Illinois, iowa, etc is grown for ethanol and biofuel; and how solar power would be so many times more effective per acre than this; and how like 90+% of so many rare ecosystems in those states was drained for farm and suburbs (in many cases previously farms).
