Hey lovely, got any Cole and Deity Headcanons???
(( Oh god, so many. Where to start.
-Deity has nerve damage from the lightning strike as a child. So she can’t feel light touches from Cole, or even her brothers. No one knows about this-she’s just learned to “respond” as best she can. Cole will find this out in the next chapter of Will You Catch Me! She can feel squeezes and pressure though! And her face and feet, and hands can feel!
-Deity tends to sleep on the outside of their bed on the ship, mostly because she can easily escape Cole if he rolls over in his sleep. BEEF CHUNGY BF 2 HEAVY
-Deity has claimed Cole’s very first ninja suit (the one with the rope across it and his earth symbol) as her pajamas. She took the rope off, hemmed it so it wouldn’t swallow her, sewed his emblem into it-and now it’s short gf pajamas. She wears this with wolf paw slippers.
-Cole has a tendency to spill his heart on paper instead of verbally as told to me by his mun @grumpy-zane , so I feel as though every time he’s slipped and attacked her, there’s an apology note written and shoved away where she’s never seen.
-Deity and Cole are AMAZING as a battle team. She rides on his back/shoulders and fires her long range bow.
-Cole is 6’4” and Deity is 5’0”. Tol und smol
-Cole walked in on deity changing once. Her back was to him, towel covering her front, another tied around her hips-but she SCREAMED. For the four years they’d been dating at that point, she’d always worn the giant blue sweater and used coverup on everything else. She has Lichtenberg figures (lightning scars) all over her body and no one had ever seen them. Not even Deity herself, until Zane gave her the tea that restored her sight. Cole reminded her that everyone has scars.
-Deity has the worst insomnia, mostly due to previously being blind and getting nights and days mixed up, along with nightmares from Cole’s attacks and residual symptoms of her lightning attack at age five. When she wakes from a nightmare, Cole traps her in his arms and presses a kiss to her neck, mumbling sleepily about how it was just a bad dream.
-Deity and Cole had the WORST fight when Zane died. (In DM’s) She spilled that she knew he would die, and Cole lost it. He angrily implied that she’d done NOTHING to stop it, and told her to leave him be. She went rift hopping (and due to the slow moving timeline of our verse) was gone for three years. They hadn’t broken up-merely a terrible fight-but the look on Cole’s face when he saw her slip through the rift was nothing short of hoping she forgave him for his outburst. He loves her. A lot. Which is why when chen noticed them making up-and pitted them against each other instead of Jay and Cole-He struggled through the corruption attack that was induced by drugging-and tossed the blade to her.
-Deity is very fond of the way Cole holds onto her when he sleeps. He tends to feel around for her, half asleep and either A: Holds her hand and go right back to snoring- Or B: Tugs her into his arms and just slowly drifts back to sleep.
-Cole bolts up from his own nightmares occasionally, especially after the two year coma. Deity will still be awake, usually, and will remind him that she’s still alive-his nightmare of her death wasn’t real. She then proceeds to tug him into her arms and toy with his shaggy hair, singing him back to sleep.
-Deity tends to flinch sometimes around Cole, and its only out of reflex. Because Jay thought it would be HILARIOUS to paint Cole with his corruption markings and scare the absolute snot out of her while training. As you can see, this is one of jay’s terrible ideas. Cole was promptly kneed in the stomach, with her metal leg.
-All in all, Deity and Cole really love each other. Sure, she’s missing her right arm, left leg and right eye-and she’s nearly died because of the corruption he’s plagued with..but he’s a sweetheart. She loves that cake loving rock monster with all her heart, and that’ll never change. And he loves his cyborg GF, too. He wouldn’t have wrote to his dad all concerned and confused if he didn’t. ))
