Archangel
Title: Archangel Chapter NO.: Chapter 1/? Original Imagine: Imagine a woman landed on the balcony of the Avengers Tower. But she’s not normal. She has wings sprouting from her back. After escaping the German organization that made her and raised her, she doesn’t know how to go about normal life. When Loki first learns about her, he could care less about the winged woman. But after finding her in a flashback...maybe they have more in common than Loki thinks... ~~~~~~~ Her feet carrying as fast as they could go, Amelia ran through the forest, trying desperately to escape the sound of pursuit from behind her. The large black wings sprouting out of her back were slowing her down, hindering her progress. She’d never really had a chance to learn how to use them and she didn’t have time to try. Branches tugged at her long brown hair, making her whimper and cry out in pain, even though she was trying desperately to keep quiet so the people following her didn’t hear her. She skidded to a stop when she came to a ledge that dropped down into a very large ravine, breathing heavily. “This way! I see her!” Amelia whirled around, breathing heavily, fear filling her chest. She was trapped. She glanced back at the ravine and twitched her wings. She could either get captured and taken back to the place she never wanted to go again, or she could jump. As the sounds of pursuit got closer, she made her choice. Just as her followers broke through the treeline, she jumped. Panic filled her as she fell through the air and she momentarily flailed. Then she remembered her wings. She extended them and cried out at the sudden strain as she came to a very sudden slow down due to her wings catching the wind. She carefully started to flap them, making herself go higher. Anxious to get away from her captors, she started flapping quicker, but she was clumsy and not used to using her wings. She made agonizingly slow progress as she flew through the ravine, and she could hear the heavy footsteps of those still following her. She forced herself to fly higher, out of the range of their guns. Sudden pain ripped through her leg, making her cry out, tears stinging her eyes. She didn’t stop, forcing herself to keep going. How long Amelia flew, she didn’t know. All she knew was that her muscles were screaming in protest and her leg was throbbing. Her vision was becoming blurry with pain and exhaustion, but she forced herself to keep going. Eventually, she saw city lights, making her fly faster. She had almost fallen several times during the flight, inexperienced when it came to using her wings. She was lucky she had gotten this far. Her eyes began to droop, despite her efforts to keep them open, and the next thing she knew, she was falling. Pain rippled through her as she hit hard ground, but she was too tired and in too much pain already to move or make a sound. Her left wing was pinned painfully underneath her, but she didn’t have the energy to move. Unconsciousness pulled at her and she easily succumbed to it, hoping her pain would go away. ~~~~ Amelia slowly opened her eyes for a moment before quickly closing them as light invaded her sight. She rolled onto her side, burying her face in the soft pillows. Wait, pillows? She sat up quickly, panic filling her as she looked around. The last thing she remembered was falling from the sky. Why was she in a room? Had your captors found her? Had- her thoughts were cut off by the door opening to reveal a man with glasses and curly black hair that was turning grey. Amelia scrambled off the bed, ignoring the pain in her leg as she did, her heart racing as she wrapped her wings protectively around herself. The man put up his hands in surrender to show he meant no harm. “Whoa. Hey, it’s okay. I’m not going to hurt you” he said softly. He had a kind voice. Amelia said nothing, still trembling and looking terrified. “I’m Bruce. I came to check on your wounds” his voice continued to be soft. “That leg wound needs to be looked at. May I come closer?” Amelia hesitated, biting her lip. Her leg was throbbing, and the man seemed nice enough. She slowly nodded, allowing him to come closer. He took very careful steps towards her, making no sudden movements so he didn’t startle her. He knelt down in front of her and glanced at her leg before meeting her terrified brown gaze, silently asking permission. She slowly extended her leg so he could examine it, knowing it needed medical attention. She hadn’t noticed the pristine white bandage on her leg until Bruce started to unwrap it. Now that she had started to calm down, she also noticed that she was no longer in her previous clothes, but in some comfy sleep shorts and a t-shirt. She winced slightly as Bruce inspected the bullet wound, but didn’t pull away. He noticed her wince. “Sorry” Amelia didn’t say anything, simply letting him continue his work. When he was done, he carefully rewrapped it before getting to his feet. “Do you need anything?” Amelia bit her lip. She was starving and her throat felt like sandpaper, but she didn’t want to take anything that wasn’t hers. Bruce noticed her hesitation and gave her a kind smile. “How about some food and some water?” Amelia slowly nodded, unable to resist the offer of food. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d eaten. Bruce nodded and left the room, going to get her some food. He closed the door softly behind him before heading to the kitchen where the other Avengers were waiting on him. Steve spoke up first. “How is she?” Bruce sighed, “Terrified. She didn’t speak a word the entire time I was there and panicked when I entered the room” “We need to figure out where she came from” Clint said, his brow furrowing. “Yeah. And why we found her unconscious on my damn balcony at 3:30 this morning” Tony muttered, looking irritated. “Shut it, Stark. It’s not like you were asleep” Nat told him, rolling her eyes at the billionaire. “That is beside the point, Romanoff” Stark glared at the redhead, crossing his arms. “Guys. Focus” Steve cut in before it could turn into an actual argument. “We need to figure out where she came from and how she has angel wings” “I’ve searched for information on her, but I haven’t found anything. She isn’t in any of SHIELD’s records and I couldn’t find anything about her in any other government databases” Nat supplied. “It’s as if she doesn’t exist” “There has to be something about her. It’s not that easy to hide those giant wings of hers” Clint pointed out, popping a chip in his mouth. “Unless she’s never been in society before” Natasha pointed out solemnly, instantly darkening the mood. Everyone fell silent, turning the dark though over in their heads. “What do we do? Bring in eyepatch?” Tony finally broke the silence. “Try and get her to talk. We need to get some information before we can do anything” Natasha replied, glancing at Tony. “She’s obviously terrified and I don’t think bringing in Fury would help” Steve sighed, running a hand over his face. “We’ll figure out what to do later. Right now, Banner,” he addressed the scientist. “Go take her some food. By the looks of it, she hasn’t eaten in a while” he frowned at that. Bruce nodded. “Okay,” he headed to the kitchen to get the nameless girl some food.
