Summary: In an alternate world where everyone’s cultivation is influenced by the elements, every cultivation disciple falls into one of five affinities: water, fire, earth, metal, and wood. Except, Wei Wuxian is not a cultivation disciple. He is an impoverished orphan-turned-healer on the outskirts of Yunmeng, healing people in ways no one has ever seen. He doesn’t have a traditional affinity; instead, he has a power that has not been encountered or spoken of in centuries…and it has the ability to change the tide of the oncoming war, or bring the entire cultivation world to its knees. The problem is, Wei Wuxian does not want to bring the cultivation world to its knees, or be any figure of renown. He simply wants to heal people, reconnect with those he considers his family, and make a dour looking young man from Gusu smile. Of course, the world does not care what Wei Wuxian wants, and he has to learn the hard way that others may not think his good intentions matter. Updates: Sporadic, but I aim for once a month! Master's degrees are hard!!

arc: the sunshot campaign final battle [ ch. 16 ] Then, with a sharp high note, Lan Wangji briefly felt it. For a single moment, there had been a pressure in the back of his head and on his chest, some sort of terrifying pull--and then it was gone.

The Yin Tiger Tally had nearly ensnared him. If Wei Ying wanted, he could have taken control of Lan Wangji’s body.

He never wanted to feel that pull again.
