Sister Temuff of the Apostles of the Axe, often referred to as Diplomat Temuff nowanights, is the Apostle with probably the least available information about her past. She’s old; older than Yoseff, even, and given her caste, she’s still quite some time left - but God only knows what she’s been doing and plans to be doing with all that time.

While the other Apostles all stumbled across the Axe by accident, or were taken in by her in times of need, all known accounts - which are rare in and of themselves - describe Temuff as having searched the Axe out personally. While nobody knows for certain why Temuff sought out the Axe’s tutelage, it’s mostly assumed it was for assistance with Temuff’s unique mutation.

Temuff’s psychic ability - an oddity of its own, among sea dwellers - allows her to see the psychic threads that link together all individuals through interaction and fate. It can only be assumed that Temuff decided the guidance of a powerful chuckleshaman - a fellow highblood learned in the psychic arts - would be the best possible way for her to take advantage of the strange numbers rolled her by the dice of genetics.

If that had indeed been her assumption, she’d assumed correctly, because with the Axe as a laughsensei Temuff flourished as a mystic. The headscarf itself is a special contraption of the Axe’s design; in addition to covering her oculars so as to decrease her reliance on her physical eyes, it embraces and supports Temuff’s skull and brain in such a way to optimise the effectiveness of her psychic organs.

These nights, Temuff has publicly denounced any connections to Mirthful teachings, of course - believing in that kind of bullshit is beneath one of her royal blood. I have a bronze seadweller (brown blood, probably the lifespan of the bronze caste, but with fins and otherwise equipped to handle life as a seadweller). Think your jadeblood could've been the one to help him out of the brooding caverns or is his mutation sort of incompatible with the mutations that exist in your hc?

yea ofc!! i love the idea of some casts [mostly cerulean and purple] being accidental seadwellers. so the idea of a seadweller brownblood sounds great!!
