if any of you even care. our rabbit has been trying to make friends with our beardie for half a year now, but couldn't figure out if she was in charge of him or if he's in charge of her, bc she is a lizard and wasn't giving him any body language clues. (rabbit hierarchy is very important - each rabbit has to know who is in charge of every other "rabbit" they know.) but just this past week he seems to have decided that her refusal to groom him when he's asked her to in the past means that she's in charge of him, so he's started to groom her instead when they see each other, which is rabbit for "oh heeeeey i love you and respect your authority kisskisskiss". and she just closes her eyes and allows it bc she is a peaceable and tolerant little reptile. the world is so beautiful

this morning The Beast went on a springtime-horny rampage so i spent some time to rearrange her plants in a way that would discourage her from destroying them all with her little talons. she has graciously accepted my work and will allow me to live to serve her another day
