Don’t you think she looked so oddly happy here when she was just nearly dead, getting help from Omaeda, and just now hearing Urahara’s voice?

So I think of some reason why she’s smiling like this:

1. She’s full of dopamine, the effect of her injuries

2. She’s half conscious, her reaction was like half-drunk

3. She’s actually happy that Omaeda was useful this time

4. She’s actually happy that Urahara came (so unlikely but we’ll never know)

5. She’s actually glad her Bankai is back and this conversation happened in her innerworld

I may be full of anxiety and self hate, but I know I am so damn lucky

Because right now I'm laying in bed and can hear Rachel singing in the shower. And I smile, remembering how she barely even spoke on our first date and told me I'd never get to hear her sing. But here i am, laying in bed, listening to her belt out her favourite songs.

I can hear kids yelling and laughing outside my window and its so calming. Bless those kids for being happy on a sunny spring day and being unable to contain their joy.
