Chapter 3
:3am:
I woke up and grabbed my stuff and left. By the time Jason wakes up I will be 3 hours on the road. I got in my car and left what I didn't know was Jason was looking out my window.
(Jason's p.o.v.)
I woke up to the sound of the front door opening.i knew it was y/n so I went into her room, so I could ask her what she was doing. when I went in there some clothes, shoes, makeup, and hair stuff ,phone, and keys were gone. I saw a letter on her table so I picked it up and read it. I do forgive you cuz I knew this day was coming. I guess I should text Maynard and let him know she's coming.
( END)
So, 3 hours on the road at stop to eat two I had to stop more time to go to the bathroom. Road construction is bad as always.how to ask him for directions the roads were closed and people on the roads are annoying. Why do people think it's a good idea to high-pitch yell at people on the road?
:30 minutes away:
I'm 30 minutes away and I really want to pull my car over and just get out. I'm so tired of driving. The only good thing right now is that there is basically no one on the road. I'm half tempted to hit the pedal and speed down the road but my luck there's a police officer around the corner. I look at my phone and it says at the end of this road turn left and you're at your destination.
Now here is the big problem... I have to figure out what house is my father's.
Chapter 2
Two years ago today, I got a letter from my mom. Which said my father wasn't dead, but he is a cannibal and his family is inbreed. I also have five siblings and I have 2 nephews and 1 niece. My mom also asked me not to go meet him, but I can't do that. I am 16 now. I have waited two years, I feel like it is killing more and more not being able to see him. I am not asking anyone to come with me since I know they will try and stop me. I feel like I need to do this by my self.
I know I have to leave before Jason wakes up. So at 3:00am I move out. It will take me 6 hours to get there. I do got to say it is good I have my own car and money, because if I didn't I wouldn't be doing this right now. I have 2 hours before I have to leave, but before I lay down I need to write a letter to Jason.
Dear. Jason
Jason, you have been with me since mom died. You know what she put in that letter and you should know it kills me. Not being able to go meet him and I don't want you to come after me. I'm taking my money and car and some other stuff if you want to sell the rest of my stuff I don't care.
Jason, I love you and I hope you can forgive me.
Sincerely,Y/n
We searched. We were confused, but we searched. And now the search has ended, for the truth has found us.
Clifford Odets
“Do you know I’m beginning to think you are a very ordinary fellow. You are vain, dishonest, morally lax, you are proud, you are lazy and self-indulgent. Aren’t you really sinking deeper every week into the feather bed of a successful career? Read this again in a week. In another week, again.”
-Playwright Clifford Odets, from a February 1940 journal entry. Odets already had a Broadway hit (Awake and Sing!), a Hollywood screen credit (The General Died at Dawn) and his face on the cover of Time Magazine when he wrote this entry.
A radio play broadcast of the Odets classic that also features Richard Kind.
Waiting for Lefty: Review
I don't think I had a favorite character, except possibly Lefty. He seemed to be like guy that could make all change happen but in the end he's been dead this entire time. I love that image. It's like their dream dies but they still are going to go on the strike. So powerful.
I was told that the "audience" gets involved in the play and I guess that's what the voices are. It'd be so cool to be sitting next to actors and it totally breaks the fourth wall but I think it would make it even more real.
I give this a 4/5 because until I get to talk with others I have no idea why like 3 of the scenes were in the play so it can't be perfect in my book.
Lorna: You're loaded with fireworks. Why don't you fight?
Joe: You have to be what you are---!
Lorna: Fight! See what happens---
Joe: Or end up in the bughouse!
Lorna: God's teeth! Who says you have to be one thing?
Joe: My nature isn't fighting!
Lorna: Don't Tokio know what he's talking about? Don't Tom? Joe, listen: be a fighter! Show the world! If you made your fame and fortune---and you can---you'd be anything you want. Do it! Bang your way to the lightweight crown...
