Moments that always make you cry?
Bold of you to think I cry.
- anything to do with Musa and her mother. I have a very strained relationship with mine so they always make me feel a certain way. The scene in S3 where Musa has to give up her mom in order to save the universe and her mom is like “I’m so proud of you” fuck
- Musa and her dad. Her father disapproving of her dreams also hits v close to home. Musa’s just a very sad character and I relate to a lot of her experiences (must be an Asian thing aha aha...)
- Tecna’s sacrifice (her getting her Enchantix right before being sucked in to the portal) and more specifically, everyone’s reaction afterwards. Musa beating the ground over the portal and screaming. The way Layla says that Tecna sacrificed herself for Andros. The way the Winx wanted to disband. The way Timmy refused to give up on her even though all evidence suggested she’s gone.
- losing Nabu. He was one of my favourite of the guys and he and Layla had a very good relationship (once you get past the weird shit he did when he first showed up), hell they were engaged. He could have been saved. But he wasn’t. Seeing Layla become this vengeful unforgiving person was also very impactful because she’s one of the “good guys” and she’s always had to be the strength behind the Winx but her grief is so evident and it’s so poignant.
