do they remember their deaths.

when they lose a battle, no matter how small, that memory sticks with them to the next. each and every iteration of every life they are forced to live and die in the name of being a perfect hero. and nobody else seems to remember these failures. they appear back at that spawn, just fine, better, even, and nobody remembers their blood being spilled a moment prior. and each time they are keener, quicker on their feet, intuitive understandings of movesets only they know they have lived through.

and yet, they can’t help but flinch when they hear that distinctive ding of being seen. or when a fruit is missing from their inventory. or when they miss a critical hit or a hit at all. no matter how lightly they’re hurt;

they can’t help but dread the thought of dying. again.

I know that Bruce Wayne is on top of cancer screening for his kids, because the kind of exposure they have as vigilantes and occasional visits to space and from living in Gotham puts them at a ridiculously high risk.

I burned myself out with stupid inktober😒 It seems my motivation wasn't the only reason I never managed to finish.

I drew this picture slowly, over a few days, and I like it❤️

My lesson is that inktober is not for me and I don't know why I try to do it every year.
