svsss characters as the menu characters

so i just watched the movie last night and was thinking about the vibes so that’s what we’re going to be doing today!! this is literally so random but i had thoughts

chef slowik: bingge

like it’s the version of him that’s no longer innocent yknow

he’s had the world thrown at him, he’s lost so much, and gone so cold

in both cases, they rose to the top but they no longer find joy in a position that they yearned for

and when he does latch onto any sort of salvation (in chef slowik’s case the menu and in bingge’s case revenge), they basically discard all of their humanity and pursue their goals to the point of obsession

also both crazy talented and have an odd relationship with the person who helped get them to the position they’re in (aka lillian bloom and mobei jun)

and they can both cook!!!!

margot: shen yuan

both outsiders to this world

not willing to play by the rules of the game (margot by not eating the food and shen yuan by not following the plot)

both hiding their true identities (margot is not name margot and shen yuan is pretending to be shen qingqiu)

and while hiding their identities, they’re put in life threatening situations that are not their own fault (shen yuan just being thrust into the cultivation world and margot being brought to hawthorn)

also they’re the main characters LMFAO

tyler: shang qinghua aka airplane bro!!!!

i mean this part basically writes itself

seems like a normal dude, kind of really a loser

has a questionable relationship with margot aka shen yuan

kind of playing both sides but ends up being played by both sides

honestly a little pathetic but i mean that in the most endearing way possible for sqh and the worst way possible for tyler

lowkey orchestrated this whole thing but not in full control

also i think these 2 are the only people who would be willing to die for their craft in this way (even though tyler can’t cook)

they’re giving rat vibes

elsa: huan hua palace sect master

essentially a yes man/servant to chef slowik or luo bingge

eventually gets discarded in the end when he’s no longer needed

follows their master blindly and gets upset when others don’t

also a little weird but that’s everyone so fair enough

on one hand, it is LU

But also, for like six years leading up to LU I was working to try and write a novel series and I got super really attached to the characters. I like LU so much because the boys remind me of my own OCs, only i actually have the courage to create and share LU stuff.

Are you sure you want to hear because I can and have talked for hours about my books and I have no clue how to shut up when I get going but I also go down a million rabbit trails over-explaining things because I can never quite tell if anyone's following if or I make a single bit of sense

I'll never understand why Carylers are so obsessed with Michonne, a character that clearly y'all dont like since y'all only talk about her to criticize her or her relationship with Rick, don't y'all have "the best ship in the entire twd universe"? Focus on them then.

Because if you are (lol)?  If you honestly are?  

I’d have to say WTF because by and large?  The majority of Carylers, at least those that I have seen (and keep in mind, I don’t dedicate my time to tracking down their Tumblr pages if I happen to disagree with something they posted on Twitter or even click on their Twitter handle period if what they post doesn’t appeal to me), tend to spend more of their time celebrating their love, appreciation, and respect for the characters and ship(s) that they love.  Whereas in my admittedly limited time being an active member on Twitter (before that I simply checked out the tags of the shows, characters, and ships that made me happy--go fucking figure)?  Stans of other ships and characters have seemingly made it their full time job hunting for blood in the water, blood that no-fucking-body even alerted their paparazzi media was there, to stir up mockery, hate and division.  And by blood I mean literally anything that doesn’t toe the company line, not necessarily anything more egregious than a simple difference of opinion.   

Last I checked, it wasn’t a capital crime to want better for a character that you enjoy.  And while I may not post as much about Michonne (because it seems to be an unspoken rule out there or something that one cannot love and appreciate BOTH Michonne AND Carol, god forbid, or it lands you on the “marked” list of “fake” fans)?  She is a favorite of mine.  

I mean, damn.  Her Funko Pop self has a place of honor on my collectibles shelf with Carol, Daryl, and Dog (and Sarah Connor and Ripley and Wonder Woman, Han and Leia and yeah, I’m not going to name them all, hahaha).  

I’ll say it again, since you’ve obviously decided to make a blanket statement about Carylers (of which I am most certainly one, now and for always), a patently false statement, IMHO, but I digress:  Michonne is one of my favorite TWD characters.  

Hell.  While I will forever maintain that there was more passion, tension, and subtext between her and Andrea in their “close friendship”?  I do ship her with Rick because out of their shared love for the Grimes babies, their friendship, and respect?  Grew a supportive love that I can appreciate even if I regret how Michonne’s character became more of Rick’s support and the love interest that reacted to his world and what happened in it than the individual, fascinating character I found her to be in the beginning--a strong woman with a tragic past that included the loss of a child in the ZA.  

Not fully buying that the same woman that had already lost one child in the ZA would have allowed herself to be so easily and gently “pushed” toward a quest to find her love interest by a ten year old child and not agonized over the decision nor reached out to the people, the adults she was entrusting her children with, especially after what happened to Andre, is wholly acceptable criticism if that’s what you want to call it.  

Sorry if I don’t salivate over the romance of her sniffing some stinky boots and having such a fast-tracked, honestly out of character sendoff.  

That’s not me not liking Michonne.  I know it tends to be hard for some people to understand that.  It’s me not liking the writing for her.  It’s me not liking that even in her exit?  The whole of what made Michonne tick was molded in such a way that she as an individual character was secondary to the ship she was a part of and that stinks as much as having her recognize her lost love by the stench of what had to have been some rotten ass feet by that point.  I mean, c’mon. 

I also happen to feel there’s a difference in having a negative opinion about obvious, out of character writing of a character simply to satisfy and facilitate a plot and straight up hating and resenting a character for their mere existence but somehow I doubt you and I would see eye to eye on that so. 

Yeah.  

Just a suggestion, but how about you spend less time in the future following the bread crumbs from my Twitter page to find this blog and focus more on your faves?  I mean, you did come into my inbox.  Not vice versa.  Clearly, the generalization about obsession was incorrectly cast.
