      darling does spare a glance at briar’s shoes as the other speaks, affordable might not always be in her vocabulary- and she’s more often presented with clothes than she is able to buy them on her own, but she has to admit, they’re pretty cute. it’s a shame that all her allowance money has to go on underhandedly purchasing training gear that her parents would never approve of. 

      “ perhaps we should investigate? ” she suggests, voice as soft as ever. if something strange was happening (and it was) then really, they should go and look for the source, right?

He tilted his head and bit his lip at her answer. He was a bit shocked, but chemistry lap reports brought out the most stressed in people. He understood. “Well that’s not the answer to question four, but um... do you need to talk about something?” he asked, scratching the back of his head. He was a bit confused. He was not the best to deal with emotions, but he listened to Jane and helped her with tumbling to get her on the cheer squad, this was probably similar. Right? Right?

Adora grinns, skipping excitedly by her eldest sister’s side. The new blue and pink bike being gently pushed along the other side. With Grammy out, and their parents at a meeting, the time had finally come. Weeks of planning finally coming into fruition right before her eyes. Even in the midst of their rebellion, precautions are taken, as evidenced by the helmet and various safety pads Adora currently wears, but she’d been told these were things all kids had to wear when they were first learning too. Under Briar’s careful watch, she’d learned to care for her new bike, practiced balancing and pedaling at home, now it was time to do the real thing. Training Wheels, her sister claimed, wouldn’t help her learn, they’d only hinder her, and Adora wanted to learn to do it properly, like the other kids in her class. 

“Promise you won’t let go?” She asks when they come to their special secret spot of the castle grounds. Butterflies swim in her stomach, excitement and a little bit of nerves fighting for dominance within. Honey brown orbs gazing up at her sister for confirmation. Sure dreaming about doing it was one thing, but now she was actually gonna do it!

       it’s not a very pretty look, is it? audrey’s glad that her sister is the only person around to witness her smudged mascara and soggy cheeks. she chokes back a broken sound and proceeds to bury her head back in against briar’s shoulder, her own shoulders shaking with the force of her tears. “ where did i go wrong? ” she asked, voice thick with tears. she sniffs- a very un-princesslike gesture and reaches for a tissue to dab at her eyes. “ i mean- what did i do? ”

       raven does her best not to feed into the whole ‘evil and brooding’ stereotype, endeavours to keep herself slightly more upbeat and positive, but it’s not always possible. sometimes a situation seems bleak and you have no idea what to do. and when that kind of situation arises, it’s always good to have friends on your side. or at least people who are willing to try and cheer you up. 

        it works, she can’t help but giggle at briar’s exceptionally good impersonations - the way she nails them all is spot on and it leaves the sorceress laughing. “ you should be on stage! ” she says. “ you’re wicked good at that. ” a pause. “ thanks. ”
