Peter is so bad at talking with people nowadays. He has always been AWKWARD, but since he lost May and everyone else because they forgot about him, it’s even worse. Harry is his lab partner, though, so she should at least try to have a good relationship with her. Or maybe they can just not talk during this lunch period, but they’re sitting next to each other and that’s terrible. Peter can’t stay silent when he’s with someone else; it’s a nightmare to him.

“So... you’re new in the region ?” He asks before he clears his throat and offers her an awkward smile.

      Much weight gathering upon his chest was released with a sigh. There were times, night after night, he’d stumble into Harry’s place without a worry. Hell -- if he could, every night he’d crash at her place. Shouldn’t he have considered though, maybe, she’d catch him in his vigilante act? Were the bruises a giveaway? Sometimes slipping out of important events? This is not how he wanted her to find out... nor did he want her to. Peter pulled the mask off and turned his head in shame.

      “Hey, Harry...”

" At the rate things were going, Mary Jane was highly considering telling her agent to take a BREAK from sending her scripts given the last few AUDITIONS she'd been to had been met without call-backs . Bad luck streaks were COMMON, she was told, but it didn't mean it hadn't been absolutely DISCOURAGING all the same .

  Shit, shit, shit! Arm not functioning. Beaten and bruised. And if she left her mask of for a second longer she was certain she wouldn't be able to breathe any more. But her anonymity is the biggest price she paid tonight. Because of course she wasn't alone here. Another woman, whoever she is, saw Spider-Woman take her mask off. Gasping for air. Nothing about this is good. And nowadays, there's very little people whom she could trust.

  ❝ This isn't pretty, but it's what I am tonight. ❞ She said rather blunty. Teeth gritting through the pain. The adrenaline has since long worn off and Ashe felt everything. Every muscle screaming out. And if she didn't know any better, she probably has fractured a couple bones here and there.

  Grey eyes looked up at the woman across from her. Almost pleading for mercy. To not tell, Tweet, call, yell, anything. To please keep this secret. This could ruin absolutely everything.

"Heh, my dad told me the same thing," Gwen frowned. Where could she begin. Life used to be much more simple, how did it manage to get so complicated. She wanted to offer words of encouragement, anything to combat the insecurities. But she knew she felt the same way as Harry and she was struggling to find the optimism and positivity for even herself. "I mean.. screw 'em all if they judge us, right? Why should we care?"

    They were far enough back on the roof that there was no one who could possibly see their bodies, positioned just so.
