Anglo-Danish trio Off Bloom bring a bounty of sass and spunk on their new dazzling single, Shut Up And Let Me Walk. It’s a pop and dancehall, alt electronica meets R&B dance banger with a breezy Balearic accent. Shut Up And Let Me Walk is a summery bop reminiscent of MØ and Major Lazer, with the bold edginess of NAATIONS and the mischievous tartness of AlunaGeorge. Off Bloom has been shaping up to be one of the exciting blooming acts to watch in the pop/dance scene. Its members have worked with immense talent in the past, including Tove Lo, Goss, AlunaGeorge, and more. And the London based project has been been working with HudMo, Kid Harpoon, and many more on new material to come. Re-visit their prior songs on Soundcloud, here, while we wait for those treats.
Love to Hate it by Off Bloom (clace training scene song)
Build up my patience, you're doing it right You've got me all jaded, I'm holding on tight This game, I don't really get it, oh But you know that I'm just about to fall Got me on edge, yeah, you're doing alright But you can do whatever Talk that talk and raise the heat The more you push me over I know that you're the one for me Don't wanna let you know I really love to hate it I'll never let it show But you make me go crazy, crazy I really love hate it (hate it) You've got me chasing, I've been up all night You left me waiting alone in the lights Mhm For sure, this just ain't right at all It shows that you're just an animal But i'll go with you at the end of the night But you can do whatever Talk that talk and raise the heat The more you push me over I know that you're the one for me Don't wanna let you know I really love to hate it I'll never let it show But you make me go crazy, crazy I really love to hate it (hate it) Of course there's a part of me That don't wanna fall for this But I really love to hate it, hate it Of course there's a part of me That don't wanna fall for this But I really love to hate it, hate it Don't wanna let you know I really love to hate it I'll never let it show But you make me go crazy, crazy Don't wanna let you know (know, know) I really love to hate it I'll never let it show But you make me go crazy, crazy (Cra, cra, crazy) (Cra, cra, crazy) I really love to hate it (hate it) (Cra, cra, crazy)
On the heels of ace 2016 EP Love To Hate It comes a fierce new tune from Anglo-Danish trio Off Bloom. Falcon Eye’s edgy electronic pop is exotic and arresting. Its bold tweaking, dark bewitching demeanor brings to mind a mixture of Elliphant, Kate Boy, and M.I.A. The intrepid anthem is an impassioned display of this rising band’s dauntless creativity and bravado. “Shake it like you want it all,” sings Off Bloom on Falcon Eye. I’m convinced by this vociferous song that what Off Bloom wants, they shall get. Falcon Eye is out now on Polydor.
Off Bloom release debut album In Bloom; share lead single ‘Hit & Run’
Duo Off Bloom, consisting of Mette Mortensen (vocals, writer) and Mads Christensen (producer, writer) have finally released their debut album, In Bloom along with it's lead single 'Hit & Run'.
The duo share: "'Hit & Run' is a hot vibey track full of attitude! We wanted to reminisce the guitar sound of the 00's and we even turned up the gain for the first ever Off Bloom guitar solo! The song is very Britney in her way of saying "Oops!... I Did It Again" and it's about when you end up hurting someone because you're just not into him or her emotionally - and basically, you just wanna have fun."
Mette adds about the LP: "When listening to our album In Bloom, you will be invited directly into our world. It’s an album describing a long journey –including both highs and lows on a bumpy road. Some of the tracks came alive years ago, some were created last week. We’re extremely proud of the final result, crossing our fingers our existing fans will love it, and hoping to be able to invite new ones into our world."
