Ugh- this is a genuinely fun story, but the level of antisemitism going on throughout really ruins it. It goes past any arguments you could make for the time it was written, Verne takes every opportunity to spurt more vitriol.

This probably falls into the "nobody cares but me" category, but I really hope that one of these days someone will produce a good modern English translation of Jules Verne's Hector Servadac.
