According to former writers of Steven Universe, Matt Burnett & Ben Levin, Flint and Chert were intended to debut in Steven Universe as members of the Off Colors but were scrapped.

Upon learning this I was immediately pissed lol. I understood why they scrapped them but to me, the more gems the merrier! I would've loved to see them debuted as Off Colors. But the fact that Rebecca Sugar brought them into the canon fold in "Steven Universe Future" in the episode Homeworld Bound; I was ecstatic and cursing at the TV screen!

Since I was enlightened of their existence, I was extremely curious as to what they looked like! And how they looked as an ensemble with the rest of the Off Color members. So I made this masterpiece! This image of the Off Colors with the addition of the gems, Flint & Chert.
