The interior design of the Hungarian Avis Budget Group office

The Avis Budget Group Business Support Centre as part of the world's leading rental car companies has been supporting Avis and Budget subsidiaries since January, 2004. Avis Budget Group BSC has moved to Skanska Green House after a long selection process, in cooperation with Rescon in March 2013.

The Avis Budget Group BSC office is located in Budapest, taking up its space on three levels of the Green House Office Building. The office, acting upon the expectations of Generation Y focuses on the use of community and open spaces. The application of these facilitates rapid communication, which is necessary for the service sector. The actual work takes place at the peripheral part of the office as it is a well-lit and open area while the periodically used spaces are found inside, such as meeting rooms, breakout areas, printer islands and the kitchen.

The reception and lobby area uses the nature design by applying earth tones and patterns and has the capacity to accommodate 200 people in 400 square meters. Thanks to the adaptable mobile walls it is a well-functioning multifunctional space supported by a complex multimedia system and variable furniture. A 150 square meter conference room can be separated from the large space, and can provide space for up to 60 people. It can also be divided into two detached rooms for 30-30 people by using sliding walls. 

The major design concept highlights one of the company’s main fields of service (car rental) and it focuses on travelling. A tree-studded silhouette of a city in nature’s bright colours leads to a totally urban world along the passage, indicating where the work starts. Recreational zones make the office space more viable not to say that the break out areas can be used for informal meetings, private phone calls and relaxation. The custom-made break out furniture called ‘Stargate’ is also ideal for refreshment. This installation is uniquely made by Europa Design. What is more, in the Avis office, you can find active and passive rooms as well.

The modern design concept of the office can be seen on each wall and carpet which together with Europa Design’s office furniture creates a youthful and vital working environment.
