I just realized something really depressing about Qrow. He probably drinks so much because of the all the shit he's been through, (losing two teammates, one of which his own sister, and seeing one shut down in front of him) and the only way he could cope was to drink. And that one time he saved younger Yang and Ruby from the Beowolf pack probably seemed cool and heroic to us, but to him, he was probably scared out of his wits because he thought he could've lost the last two people close to him.
