you are definitely one of my fave people too. can you believe we’ve been mutuals and writing partners for years now? like to the point i don’t actually remember not writing with you and not being your friend. that’s crazy. i can honestly say though that i’ve loved every minute of it; every thread and the hours of throwing hcs back and forth; every movie night (genuinely the main thing i miss about being in the thg fandom) and fucking up my sleeping pattern by talking to you losers until like 6am when i had classes the same morning. i don’t think i’d have kept this hobby so long without people like you. you’ve stuck by me through a lot of crap over the years and there aren’t really words for how much i appreciate you. also everything you said in this message i’d echo back @ you x10000 because we’re at the point where my canon for katniss is whatever you determine for her. the books and moves are secondary. everything i need to know about katniss is right there on your blog. i can’t imagine not having you and chris’ grumpy niece around. even if you were active once a year it’d be worth the wait to write with you and talk to you about our stupid rp characters (who always seem to end up connected even if they’re from totally different fandoms, but chris loves his niece and crossovers are beautiful so we’re keeping katniss in teen wolf now thanks bye). anyway i love you too now go away cause you’re making me emotional and it doesn’t fit my Aesthetic™.

Katniss’ hesitation is enough to give the woman pause. Worry fills her. Perhaps she overstepped and made her guest uncomfortable. Annie’s words are not a demand, but an option. And if she doesn’t take her up on the offer, then so be it. The lives they -- the victors -- have all lived have been hard. They’ve been filled with no shortage of demands and orders that have sought to destroy their souls. Here in this little hovel near the ocean, however, they have options, choices. Just as it was before the war, her home is a safe haven. First, for Finnick, and now for anyone seeking peace.

When she doesn’t hear the sound of footfalls mirroring hers right away, Annie slows as she moves around the island to start preparing a kettle. A hum fills the air as she moves around the space. Unknown to Katniss, probably, but it’s an old familiar shanty of ancient days for any denizen of District Four. It’s the only noise that fills the room for a time, besides the clanking of plates and silverware and the scrapping of a stool against the floor. When Katniss speaks initially, Annie only faintly hears it. She looks over her shoulder and gives her guest a smile.

❝ You’re welcome. ❞ With the kettle warming on the stove, Annie moves to lean against the island. ❝ You’re my guest, Katniss. You supposed to rest and relax while you’re here... but if you want to, I could use some help moving things around the house? Nothing crazy, just boxes that need to go upstairs and some that can come down so I can decorate proper. I had my cousins help me move it all here, but I’ve been yelled at by them to ‘ take it easy ‘.

It is not pout, rather more a frown. Steve can’t believe he got her all the way to agreeing to the party only to hear this! ❝ Has anyone told you recently you’re no fun? ❞ Cause she really is. He hasn’t been in a party in a while ( a mix about how becoming less popular gets you fewer invites and how he still remembers Nancy’s words at the last party he was at ) but he really could use something like that and Robin is busy and showing up alone would just be even more pathetic than his current life.

she barely has to say it anymore, with how often the woman finds herself here. a club seedy enough to take under the table transactions for certain pleasures, but high glass enough not to advertise it. the drinks aren’t watered down, and the entertainment is entertaining --- though, there is only one act in particular that truly catches her interest. sitting in her favored table, with a clear view of the stage, a bloody mary in hand. there’s no denying the smile that crosses her face when @offireandrebellion is revealed, the resident songbird and current fixation making alexandra’s eyes flash gold, for a moment.

cat - like gaze follows the singer on the stage, tracking every motion, and never once breaking contact. not at all unusual for her; and even less so, was the whisper of the waitress to encourage the performer to come and have a seat at her table. there was always an open chair for her, after all. a hundred dollar bill and a sweet smile is all it takes, and rather expectantly the she - terror waits, like a cat eager to play with the canary, spiced alcohol on her lips. it’s been nearly a week since she last visited, after all.
