That there tears through you with unimaginable force. It is one of the most raw and cruel things. When all that's ugly and bad and grim makes it way back into your head. Like a monster pushing against the slightly ajar door and you strain yourself to push it back, to close the gap even if its claws rip through you as it tries to grab hold.

That moment, that singural moment when you want to capitulate.

Giving up, giving in...to that thing inside of you, that's pure horror.

You know what's right and sound. You know you should be able to get over it, pass it without batting an eye and yet you can't.

But sometimes you do need to give up certain things. Take that difficult step, pack your bags and take your demons with you. Move into that haunted house inside your head and listen to what it has to say.

You can’t remember when it started hurting, but it did. And since that moment it's been you, the hurt and it. Whatever that is. Whatever name you wish to give it.

Others find it easier, simpler, fluent.

Not you though.

You have always seen the darkness, and the darkness always smiled back when witnessing your face.
