I think one of the main issues with the idea of ‘forgiving’ the hive wings or painting them as victims is that whether or not they are actively participating in the oppression and slavery of the silk wings and the attempted genocide of the leaf wings, they are still complacent in it, and thus have more control than the actual victims. They are bystanders and thus have the most power in the situation and have chosen not to use it. 1/2
The idea that they are powerless victims is dangerous and shouldn’t be so widely accepted, they shouldn’t all be killed however they are all somewhat guilty and need to be held responsible for their inaction.
