Does sparty have separation anxiety? And if so how are you handling that? Alder definitely has iy and shes only left alone for like 4 hours 3 days a week. I left her inside to get groceries from my car and i came back to her barking and scratching at the door. Any tips?
I wouldn’t say Sparta has SA, her and Luna are both pretty good like that, although she’s always ecstatic when I return (regardless of whether I’ve been gone for 5 min or 5 hrs) she doesn’t even bother getting up in the mornings with me anymore. She does really benefit from routine though, and will start fussing if I’m not home when I’m supposed to be. She also just, you know, will let her displeasure be known if she knows I’m nearby and she can’t be on my heels, which is one of the reasons why I’m glad she’s crate trained (in crate/enclosure = nothing happens, chill btch)
Honestly, since I’ve never dealt with it and am not experienced in the field of dog training and behaviour, I’m not really comfortable giving advice or speculating. But I hope you don’t mind me publishing, because I know it’s a common issue and someone else might have pointers for you?
