i'm going to change my tumblr name to truthviamusic.
it's about time, i think. i generally try and keep my page relatively objective and unpersonalized anyway, so maybe this will convey a more professional image. i don't know how this will affect my ability to search for old posts, but i think it needs to happen.
please consider sharing my blog with your followers, if you appreciate the effort i put into maintaining my site. i try and provide original content to accompany the often-woefully unheralded music i share, and i've been at it for more than four years now. over 5,000 posts at this point.
'what i do/for me/for you' was a subtitle i came up with back then, when i was still living in florida, to emphasize the philanthropic outlook i have on my craft. i habitually share sonic art because i feel like i'm doing the masses a disservice by closing out windows that momentarily brought me fulfillment. i do it to foster a culture (of euphoric unity undivided by genre), i do it because you people DESERVE these tunes (that you might otherwise be disconnected from), and i do it because i'm pretty addicted to it at this point. artists are doing great things all the time, everywhere, and there's an inexplicable urgency inherent in spreading the word about their divine audio creations. being informed that a track i shared with one of you illuminated your daily journey, to whatever extent....that's what it's all about for me. feedback is always welcome. music journalism and psychedelic art. challah.
