i worked at the school's apple store for awhile and picked up a few things that i probably can't think of rn, but if you want to send me models to look at, i'm totally up for that!

The difference in processing speeds (the ghtz) is most of the time only marginal, and you never WANT your computer to do the turbo boost speed, so never go off of that.

Idk about brands and models and things like that, but based on your use you really need to focus on a RAM. RAM will run all the things for you at the same time, get at least 8gb, pref 16. Then look at how much space you want in a hard drive.

hmmm i'm a pc fan too and i run an Excellent�� sony vaio flip, but i don't think they're available for purchase anymore which is a gd shame. but my two previous laptops were hp and they were very sturdy and dependable. i think theyre envy/pavilion

also, you can partition your hard-drive on a mac to run windows if you really need to run windows-specific software. also also, i tend to have several "desktops" open with several browser windows and other programs in each, and it runs beautifullly

i know you said pc but i have a pc desktop and a mac laptop and i am super in favor of macs for laptops bc pc laptops are either getting a) cheap and flimsy, or b) expensive and flashy but not necessarily good
