                         HE THINKS that he’s seeing things during breakfast.   but the sight before him  yesterday’s clothes ( he’d know , he saw her yesterday ) and HAIR unkempt.   what’s almost comical except it’s not comical at all is that she’s yet to noticed...   then again , henry was up much , much earlier than his normal routine.   restlessness settled in the pit of his stomach the night before for unknown reasons.   ‘   uh ... ------- -- aunt kenzie ??   ’

drinking on the job wasn’t allowed. not even a little bit. lacey didn’t know how she would survive. but, with roni nowhere to be seen, lacey poured herself a bourbon anyway. the telltale ring of the door convinced her she was done for, caught red handed, and she prepared herself to come up with an excuse or see, for the third time, if it was possible to get out of trouble by hitting on roni. it was yet to work.

when the person who walked in seemed to be some... person. ( she didn’t know her, obviously ) she was relieved. taking a swig of her drink, she nodded ever so slightly at the girl. 

“ ‘m lacey, I’ll be your wench for the evenin’.”
