Rumours were dangerous, rippling hope from outpost to outpost in a world which needed to grasp it. When word of the progress in Insomnia had reached Lestallum, Crowe was loath to believe it. Surely it was nothing more than a rumour, something designed to give the people something to hold on to. The darkness gone, a new dawn, and now the Crown City being rebuilt so speedily? Call it cynicism —— she just couldn't bring herself to believe it. Wanted to. Wanted to believe that her former home was getting back on its feet but after so long, would there (could there) be anything there for her?
How wrong she’d been. Needing to see it with her own eyes to believe it, despite prior disbelief, she’d made the journey back to Insomnia. What she found wasn’t the finished product, in fact far from it but these things would take time. They’d made a start, a good start.
Without a plan, the brunette wandered through the streets of the city, trying to avoid the throngs of people working on their projects. Call it old habit; Insomnian locals, previously, had never been known for treating their refugees kindly. After all this time, she was still a refugee … and so she stayed away, opting instead to marvel in silence. Her route, seemingly aimless, carried her through the checkpoints and toward the Citadel —— the one place she needed to lay eyes on.
Like the rest of the city, it was a work in progress but there it was. The Citadel. “Damn,” she sighed, stepping forward toward one of the groups standing nearby - it was more difficult to avoid them in such an open space, “They actually did it.” Finally she smiled, previous cynicism proven wrong. “How long will it take?” She turned to the nearest cluster of people, “’Til it’s back up and running?” All she wanted was an estimate, might be worth sticking around to see how everything panned out. “That’s something I’d like to see..”

@oflucis now this is someone i really enjoy seeing on my dash, and i can’t wait to see where our interactions are going! their interpretation is spot on and the mun has been so welcoming of me that i weep tbh — i love noctis so much so to see someone else dedicating their energy on him as a multilayered character warms my heart 🖤

The world was in a haze. The sky shown bright red, as though the sun had been placed into blood addled waters. Yet, nothing moved. The very air itself hovered in between a breath and a heartbeat, which could be the only companionship to the young man who was standing in the darkness.
Everything else was far too QUIET.
Until the footsteps shattered it. They seemed so LOUD, echoing across the buildings to a deafening ROAR. A slow, leisurely stride as a figure appeared from the darkness. The silhouette that appeared beneath the red light appeared to be anything but friendly.
Ardyn’s face was shrouded in the shadows, save for the glistening smile that seemed far too drenched in ooze and slime. It was practically dribbling down his chin as he swayed forward, his hand raising high as an introduction of himself.
“Ah, Noct! Such a PLEASURE for you to join me here.”
“Now, now, what are we going to do with this? Perhaps it is time we play a GAME!”

❛ you left them! ❜ amusement rings from the web of pipelines above, deity soon to drop and level with his mirror image. ❛ i’m impressed! didn’t think you had it in you to be honest... ❜ brushing his hands, he nears the human with a soundless, ominous stride. ❛ so, how does it feel? to be truly a l o n e ? ❜

The king sprawls himself across lavish sheets, a subtle change to that of the usual. Exposed chest, a rose betwixt his lips, one knee raised and hand to rest upon.
As Ignis enters line of sight, he beckons him with a curl of a digit. A ‘come hither’ look deep in his eyes.
Unprompted Asks - [ ALWAYS ACCEPTING ] ;;
-------- oh. OH.
forgive him, as he stares a tinge too long. shamelessly so. it’s such an endearingly humorous sight, noctis posted upon the bed like some cliché movie character hoping to score the plotted romance. even ignis, not normally one to express amusement, cannot help the squeak of a chuckle that goes muffled within a raised fist, a GREEDY once over taken before he does as he’s unspokenly told. “ what’s all this? “ inquired, as palms came to rest flat against the sheets, pawing their way towards the awaiting king, “ you look rather silly. ahaha~ gods, forgive me for my laughter. “ and the mirthful grin, and the dusting of cheeks ( the latter, an EXPECTED reaction when so close to noctis, and one he couldn’t ward away or discourage even if he tried ).
slipping an adventurous hand over the exposed neckline of his superior, ignis leaned in to capture lips in a gentle kiss, humming contently. “ am i... relieved from work for the remainder of the evening? “ gestures alone point to yes, but he wants to hear it explicitly from the king. far be it for him to d i s o b e y, of course.

@oflucis sent: Text: Gladio: Hey, Gladio. Got an important job for you. It requires your attendance, in my bed. Be there. Thirty Minutes.
Checking his phone a little later than he’d felt the buzz of receiving a message, Gladio let out a soft chuckle and shook his head.
[Text: Noct]: So demanding
There was only fifteen minutes until said ‘important job’.
[Text: Noct]: And if i’m late? What are you gonna do, your majesty?
