retail therapy. it was enough to get her mind off of ivy, the engagement, and the rest of her problems that she had been running away from. “thanks for coming with me mars.” there seemed to be endless amounts of shops on fifth avenue, thank god for amex black cards, and home delivery. and suddenly, as if a sign from the universe, and coordinated shopping that lux definitely hadn’t planned. there it is in all it’s glory. kleinfeld. a place only envisioned in her dreams after spending hours in front of the tv watching say yes to the dress with margo beside her. “maybe we should go in? look the wedding might be months out, but you could never be too prepared. at least let me try some on.” she pleads until her sister lets up. usually it would take more, so it’s a pleasant surprise that she’s willing to go dress shopping with her. lux squeals in excitement, stepping inside, and informing the receptionist they didn’t have an appointment and they were simply there to look around. she gives them a confused look, but lux explains who she is, and it’s smooth sailing once again. she steps in to see an arrangement of dresses, and pedestals, mirrors littering the wall. it was any brides dream, it was lux’s dream. she drinks it all in, amazed that it was even more beautiful than she had pictured in her mind. she turns to margo, “where should we start? for the ceremony i want a ballgown, something that makes me look like cinderella. but the reception i want something more form fitting. i might be the bride, but i’m willing to let you choose this once.” she says with a laugh, a hint of truth to her words. @ofmargos
