by now zion was an expert when it came to being covert, but his hardest feat would be secretly coming back home for christmas to surprise margo. sneaking in at the ass crack of dawn was only the beginning. having to bypass the security systems, he taught margo to set up every night was another thing. clearly she paid attention, because bypassing them without alerting her had him beat for a moment. with a quick call to the alarm company, the system was bypassed and zion could continue his quest. after being away for a week, seeing her sleeping silhouette, he wanted nothing more than to wake her up, kiss her and tell him her he was home, but he opted to be her christmas gift instead.
quietly setting his bags down in the living room, he headed for the kitchen ready to make the perfect breakfast for her to wake up to. if he wasn’t in the line of work he was in now, hands down he would have been a chef. he cracked eggs, fluffed pancakes, fried bacon, and poured her favorite juice, with an option of champagne on the side if she wanted a mimosa. the only thing missing was his beautiful fiancé, as he waited for her to wake up from her slumber.
