"He must mean a lot to you." He finally speaks up, upon seeing her starting to become emotional as she stood in front of the portrait of a man, regal in appearance with a somber expression. He'd been told that this gallery was special in that it depicted people or moments from one's life that were meaningful, but he hadn't seen many dare to venture in as he had. The few people he passed by were often lost in thought, assumedly at seeing something significant and he opted not to bother them but when he stopped to look at this one in particular, he couldn't help but notice the now tearful woman staring at it.
Without saying much else, Joshua offers her his red handkerchief. "To…dry your tears, my lady. For what it's worth, I don't think he would want to see you unhappy." And he smiles, though it's hap-heartedly in an attempt to lift her spirits. He knows what it is to lose someone, at least if he's correct in his assumption. Joshua lets a brief moment of silence pass between them before speaking up again, once again trying to make her feel even a little bit better.
"He is rather dashing though, isn't he? Whoever he may be."
