I want to draw Ed and Stede in different universes, and I love the anime Soul Eater and think the weapon/meister concept is so cool to play around with. But I'm having trouble deciding who should be what. I'm thinking Ed and Stede would be partners, but I don't know who would be the weapon and who the meister. Or maybe they could both be meisters, but then who would Stede's weapon be? Here are my ideas:
So if Stede is the meister and Ed is the weapon, maybe Izzy is Ed's meister but then Stede comes along and wins Ed's heart so Stede becomes Ed's meister instead. Which angers Izzy obviously. And Stede would probably be terrible at fighting but Ed teaches him how to wield his weapon form and the two grow closer, etc etc. Or Izzy could help train Stede. (I'm leaning towards this configuration the most)
And if Stede is a weapon, Izzy would be Ed's weapon but then Stede comes along and also steals Ed away 😆 Izzy is again angry and feels like Stede took his partner, so we get the mad Izzy side of things lol. So Ed would teach Stede how to be a better weapon, you could also have Izzy begrudgingly teaching Stede about how to be Ed's partner.
And then if Ed and Stede are both meisters, Ed would be Izzy's partner and Stede would have one of the crew as his weapon. Maybe Buttons? First mate idea, and all that. Or Lucius? Idk honestly
