Ah, a student at Spirale University had insulted Sayo in her ‘Kanon’ persona repeatedly- and while ‘Kanon’ brushed it off, ‘Beatrice’ would never forget that moment. She had been picked on enough back on Rokkenjima, she’d make sure that anyone who tormented her in this world would never get away with it.

“Just by pulling this string, which was carefully wrapped around the cap of his water bottle, the entire thing will spill all over him. This will be my curse, for disrespecting my name. Hmm... It’s not as fun without a partner...”

Is she petty? Yes.

Should have sufficed to tell him that she wasn’t a child, but the cogs just didn’t click. So when he found her equipped with it next to a plan at a station, he voiced his sentiments sharply. “Toss it and give me the name of the moron who gave you that.“

Saint-Germain, for the most part, tends to not like getting involved in the business of other people. While she does think of herself as a champion of justice, she also knows that many times, there would be no point in getting involved in others’ petty squabbles. She typically had enough on her hands dealing with Prelati or Cagliostro, after all.

But Prelati and Cagliostro aren’t in this city, and her schedule is a lot less packed with trying to resolve stupid arguments over plush frogs.

As she walks down the boardwalk of the Golden Ward, wondering if any of these fruit stalls will have tangerines (despite their melon theming--she won’t give up hope quite yet!), something catches her eye--or rather, someone. A woman is running in her direction, a large melon tucked beneath one arm, as a rather-looking man chases after her. Typically, she’d be a little harsher on thieves, but after being so viscerally reminded of her past, she decides she’ll be a little nicer. Just a little. As the woman passes her by, she reaches out, and with a surprisingly firm grip, grabs the arm not supporting the food.

“Would you like to do this the easy way, or the hard way?”
