when the bunker’s entrance is blown up and clarke and bellamy rappel down to meet the others, caroline stays behind. as much as she’s dying to reunite with her mom and friends, she knows the right thing to do is to stay OUTSIDE. she takes a few steps back, watching as one by one, people she hadn’t seen in over six years start coming out of the hole. her mom was nowhere in sight, but caroline figures she’s just letting people get out before her. in typical liz forbes fashion. it’s sweet but kind of annoying, considering how badly caroline wants to hug her. suddenly, one of diyoza’s guys yells ‘step back!’ and the blonde snaps out of her thoughts just in time to see a very familiar figure exiting the hole. ❝ oh my god, ❞ she mumbles, eyes open wide and hands resting atop her chest. caroline waits until he’s on the ground to start running towards him with a LARGE SMILE on her lips. ❝ stefan! ❞ she calls out when she’s within earshot and then proceeds to throw her arms around his neck, attacking him with one of her famous bear hugs.

Joey had been walking home after a long day on set. He wasn’t really going home, but to the coffee shop (his second home). He wasn’t sure if any of his friends would be around, but it had become his go-to place to relax, outside of his own home. He’d be lying if he said it was also because he had his eye on a couple of muffins. He didn’t think much of it when he heard a pair of footsteps behind him. New York was a crowded place, there were bound to be people walking with him. It was only when he noticed a figure ahead of him that he felt a chill run up his spine. Joey hoped to pass the figure without any sort of contact, but he stopped him before he had the chance to. He tried to keep the conversation friendly, but he couldn’t help having a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. The feeling was only proven right when he felt a gun pressed against his back. “Look, guys. I don’t want any trouble...” He was already beginning to reach into his jeans pocket for his wallet.

Much as she didn’t want to admit it, she had definitely been pining after this new Salvatore guy. He sat close to her in class and she bit her lower lip nervously as her fingers toyed with a piece of paper, the teacher’s voice nothing more than a quiet murmur in her ears. It had been a long time since she had shown interest in anyone, let alone be in a relationship. She had been with Matt previously, and while he had been a very good boyfriend, things just didn’t work out. That relationship just wasn’t passionate enough for her and it was more of a test the waters type relationship than anything. A sigh passed her lips as she glanced at Stefan once more, admiring his strong jawline and his perfectly coiffed hair and his broad sturdy shoulders. Damn it, Elena, don’t be so obvious her inner voice chided her. She whined back at it. But I can’t help it, I mean, look at him.
Now facing her empty notebook, she picked up her pen but she was unable to write. Her mind just wasn’t focused enough. But after a few minutes, she began to write, albeit subconsciously.
