It's a Twisted Story, Really
It wasn't news he had really wanted to receive, then again it never was as soon as they got any word that one of their city's villains had managed to escape Arkham. It would seem to happen not once, maybe twice, or so many times that it was a wonder why they bothered or that they could not come up with a better system. Arkham was their only available option, yet it didn't do the job. It didn't keep the city's nut jobs locked away so that the citizens could be safe from as much harm as they could manage.
This was one he hadn't run into yet, but he'd heard enough and knew that it had taken a few members of their little family to take the guy down last time. Then again, at that point, he'd been working with Dr. Hurt. As far as he knew, this guy had cut all ties with him and was now going solo.
Tim wasn't sure if that was good or bad news quite yet. What he did know was that this guy's plans were something they all needed to stay as far away from as possible. The drugs that he had been developing and distributing before were sure to get back onto the streets now that he had returned to them. The risk of an "identity destroying" drug being loose for use was practically a nightmare. This was something he wanted to try to handle. Realistically he realized it would be smarter to try to rally more of their group to handle the man, but perhaps while he was on his own, it would be different.
Especially while he was fresh from escaping and possibly overconfident. There was the possibility of him making a mistake. He wouldn't go into things without notifying someone else, he wouldn't leave question there should he get in over his head and not have the possibility of being unable to have backup available. But he hoped this was something he could deal with quickly before too much product hit the streets, and too many more lives were wrecked.
Tim suited up quickly, stocking up on the weapons and gear he deemed necessary for the coming confrontation that he hoped, in a sense, was fast approaching. That would mean there wasn't much wasted time. Realistically, he was well aware things were never that easy. If it was, the GCPD could probably handle things without them and they'd be out of a job.
He kind of felt bad that his first thought was, "That would certainly be boring." And tried to amend it in his thoughts to, "That would sure be different."
Tonight it was his job to get Pyg back in Arkham Asylum.
