A glance at Jamie revealed that he was interested--well, maybe he wasn't SO off... "This one girl had one about her mother leaving her family and her cousin dying. She wouldn't move when she woke up, she was so afraid." She chuckled, remembering the fear in the girl's eyes. "You know, we'd see each other more if you'd live with me 'n Pitch. 's not so bad down there in the dark." She turned serious, sensing his mood shift again. He was fighting it... Her eyebrows furrowed as she wondered WHY.
An eyebrow rose in interest as Jamie imagined the dream happening in the context of his own family. His mother leaving… she was rarely around as it was. And his cousin dying? She had, only recently. But would that really frighten him?He was used to it.
“I don’t know if I’d really… fit in there,” Jamie said moodily, shifting one knee up so he could casually drape his arm across it. He leaned his head to the side, resting it gently against the wooden framing of his window sill. “You say Pitch cares for you, and welcomes you with open arms… I don’t know if it’d be the same for me. There isn’t a connection there…”
He sighed, the dark aura-like feeling he got from his sister gently waning, his senses returning to a slightly more normal state. For some reason, it was an unwelcome feeling.
