Actually, for all of her initial hostility, Brook can be super easy to get to smile and laugh. She's got the potential to be very childish and playful. Sarcastic or witty banter, so long as you don't offend her in the process; mild poking of fun and self-deprecation is fine, if used sparingly. Flirting, definitely, whether she's being flirted with or the one flirting may have the side effect of getting you laid. Use with caution. Unless you wanna get laid. She loves pranks, even if she ends up being the victim. Any time you are taking literally 0 things seriously [Think the conversation the Warden had with Alistair and Duncan about Ishal: when Alistair joked about shimmying down the lines to distract the Darkspawn, that had her almost bursting from trying to hold the laughter back from Duncan]. Suggesting doing something on the recklessly dangerously stupid side of fun *looks at the Iron Bull* . Literally it’s easy.

Anders had been busy when Mikael had walked into the Clinic,just as he always was. For a few moments, he just watched insilence up until the few people that were there left and somehowthe area was void of anyone besides them. It was a strange andrare occurrence. One that the force mage used as an opportunityto sling his arm around the healer’s shoulders.

A giant grin was on his, one that signaled trouble and just hadAnders looking at him cautiously. He knew something was comingbecause all of Hawke’s friends knew that grin and knew what itmeant.

What are you thinking, Hawke?

Shaking his head, Mikael only laughed. His courage was alreadywaning in the face of the other man. After having talked himselfup all the way through Darktown, he couldn’t find the words forwhat he wanted to say or do.

They’d spent so much time flirting back and forth that it seemedunreal to think that it wouldn’t all go up in flames. Something thatseemed to happen often with him. Mikael didn’t want to ruin this.

Then Anders was saying something and Hawke was stranglinghis frayed nerves because he’s faced worse than this. Even ifit could end horribly, it hurt more waiting and wondering. Especiallyafter so much pointing towards a good outcome.

In the end, he just had to take the leap or drive himself mad tryingto guess what was at the bottom.

Deep breath and —-

Look, Anders I — I need to — oh, for fucksake. I like you and I needto know if we’re on the same page or if we’re both reading differentbooks and if we are then I need to leave before I make more of a foolof —-

He took the leap and he was caught before he even reached theground.

We’re on the same page, Hawke.

There was a warm sort of smirk on Anders’ face and Mikael felt thetightening in his chest lift. Everything seemed to be a bit brighter inthe Clinic all of a sudden. An honest smile falling into place on theforce mage’s face.

His hands were on the other man’s face in the next moment andhe was smiling stupidly as they came together in a fumbling,clumsy kiss. Their noses knocked together and Mikael had to pullback as he started to laugh, his whole body seeming to vibratewith relief and happiness.

Not a second later was Anders joining in with him, chastising himfor laughing when he was trying to kiss him. It only managed tomake this worse as they finally collapsed to the floor in a fit ofuncontrollable laughter, their arms still locked around each other.

Soon the laughing turned into manly giggles before those toodissipated into the warm air around them and they were leftlooking at each other with watery eyes from laughing so hard.

With a light breath, Anders and Mikael met in the middle. Thesecond attempt much better than the first, lips brushing againstlips with the softest manor. Leaving the breath between them warmwith unspoken words, hands clinging to what they could reach.

Mikael had never been happier to have taken a risk.

The air was crisp and the flames stood out against the dark night sky, licking upward as if to kiss the stars above. Mikael was more than content to just watch rather than try and help or see how high he could get the large fire to go. His arms were far too busy holding Anders to him, a contented hum vibrating in his throat as he pressed a light kiss to the top of the other mage's head. It was those quiet moments they shared that made everything worth it.

A chilly wind blew past them, but it hardly registered with Hawke. He was more than warm enough, blatantly nuzzling into the man. Not a single care was given for who might be watching them.

"Sometimes I wonder if you weren't a pillow or something in your previous life. You're too cuddly to not have been."
