Fatal Mistake
Seiji vibes
Ooooh, nooooo, I just realized something.
Gast Faramis was the only decent scientist in Shinra, with noble intentions and who treated child Sephiroth well and as a child, not a mere scientific experiment and a weapon. He seems to be the only person Sephiroth emotionally connected to before he met Genesis and Angeal. Even years later when adult Sephiroth is falling apart, he calls Gast's name who he hasn't seen in years.
And then we have:
Hojo killed Gast.
Hojo (indirectly) killed Ifalna, Gast's partner.
Sephiroth - Hojo's son, killed Aerith - Gast and Ifalna's daughter.
Sephiroth didn't just kill Aerith - Sephiroth and his family completely wiped out Aerith's family. And Sephiroth didn't even realize. He still respected Gast at the time of OG Final Fantasy VII.
How many tragedies can they write into one game series?
POV : you are collecting mental illnesses and your memories are kind of weird and the tough guy persona you made up for yourself does not last for more than 30 minutes because no one buys it
Some OG-roths for fun and profit :} ⚫✨

Series: Part 1 of Crimson Crescent Series Summary:
[M/M Pairing] Written as an alternate story that runs parallel to beginning of OG FFVII, Vincent Valentine has been submerged and unconscious for thirty years in the Shin-Ra lab. When he awakes, physiologist Cloud Strife helps him return to good health. All are oblivious of the true reason that Vincent has mysteriously returned to Shin-Ra after all of this time. That secret remains between himself and Hojo, while the full truth rests with another. Despite the disparaging state he wakes up in, Vincent is increasingly drawn to Cloud and seeks to protect him, knowing the threats of working at Shin-Ra better than anyone else. Their roles at Shin-Ra complicate the nature of their romance - Hojo thinks Vincent has forgotten the events of Shin-Ra mansion, yet he reserves his own plans for the state of Hojo and Shin-Ra, with Cloud beginning to question his own place at Shin-Ra as well. This story assumes that the Nibelheim incident has not occurred yet, causing Vincent to meet Cloud in a different way, and their adventure to unfold under a different 'timeline.' It also seeks to answer questions like "What if Sephiroth hadn't turned as suddenly as he did in the OG?" Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
I’m so sorry to bother you with this. I have a question about the original FFVII game. I’m currently playing the PlayStation One version and I’m trying to get Clouds Ultima weapon.
I’ve read in walkthrough guides you need to defeat Ultimate Weapon, however I’m not sure where this creature is located. I’m currently on disc two and have the whole party, the Highwind and Bugenhagen just joined and is on the airship.
Guides and videos I’ve used give best strategies how to defeat Weapon but not how to find or when in the game they can be fought again? You seem very knowledgeable about FFVII, could you lend me any advice/assistance? I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.
No problem!
So I’m assuming you’ve fought UW in the crater to east of Junon and he bailed, right?
^ If you fought him here and he’s gone, then he’s started flying around the map at random. You have to chase him in the Highwind and smash into him until he fights you and bails again.
If you are playing the port of OG FFVII that has the 3x movement speed cheat built in, consider turning it off. A lot of people (including me!) find it harder to catch him in air with that cheat on. I personally turn it off once I actually see him (bc I don’t have the patience for scouring the world for him at regular speed lol.)
Keep bumping into him and eventually he’ll start moving towards Mideel, Mt. Nibel, North Corel, Gongaga, Ft. Condor, Midgar, or the Northern Crater. It’s random, but I’m pretty positive he never goes anywhere outside of the general vicinity of those areas.
Once you get him down to like 1/4 health (like 20-25k hp) he will always move toward Cosmo Canyon for the final encounter:
Not a bother btw. I love seeing people play the original game. If I can help with anything else, lmk! (:
(Side note: It’s pretty normal for this shit to take a while, btw. It’s not a skill issue — I’ve played OG VII to death at this point, and this part is always the longest single segment of the game for me lol. The best thing I can tell you to do to make it easier is to throw everything plus the kitchen sink at him from the first encounter onward. He doesn’t heal up between run-ins so it’s the best way to cut down on total chase time. You should get the Long Range Materia from the Mythril Mines if you plan on using a melee character as well. A lot of these fights will take place on the deck of the Highwind, and melee characters like Tifa won’t be able to do shit to help you without it.)
Does anyone know why Sephiroth throws a fucking materia at you in the original game. In the mansion at Nibelheim.
He just fucking. YEETS OT AT YOU.
Why. WHY SIR.
