Hello there everybody! I thought I’d go ahead and give you all an update on how the calculations for prices for several different kinds of my divination services are going.
Having finally decided on going with a $5.00 price for each card, fid, rune, etc, in a reading as a basic unit of measurement to go by has really helped me determine where i’m going to set the prices for a lot of the services I plan on offering in the future.
Earlier this morning I finally figured out where I will price readings done by casting either with Runes or Ogham, which is what I’m intending on sharing with all of you in this post.
So, to determine how much my general casting reading with either Runes or Ogham are going to be priced at, I took my basic price unit of $5.00 and grabbed a handfull of either runes or feda.
Once I had a hand’s worth of either runes or feda in my hand, I counted how many runes or feda were in my hand, typed it down in a word document, and did this nine times for both feda and runes. I then counted the nine mounts of either rune or feda amount, and divided both sets of numbers by nine to get the average for either feda or runes.Once I knew what the answer was by dividing each full amount for either runes or feda by nine, I then further divided that number by five, with the number 5 standing in for $5.00.
In the end, with all of my calculations done, I finally had my prices set with $20.00 for Rune casting readings and $25.00 for Ogham casting readings.
Yes, I’m fully aware that the amount for how many feda, runes, or whatever it is you are grabbing to do a casting reading with are going to be different with every time you grab an amount in your hand, but I wanted to come up with a good middle of the road price to set casting readings with a specific divination system to make it easier for me, and easier for future clients once I start officially offering readings in this way. I’m actually very happy with how this worked out in the end, especially as I generally tended to end up with roughly four runes or roughly five feda most of the time I grabbed some in one hand, so the end result ended up just about where I thought it would.
