Noora - moodboard
I'm just gonna say it...
I cannot STAND skam France. I don't know why but I could never get into it. The wording, camera angles, etc, were almost EXACTLY the same as og, which was weird and s3 just makes me cringe so badly. Ik loads of people like it but I just genuinely can't watch it.
WHY SKAM IS AMAZING
I just want to take a moment to explain why skam is so phenomenal. I’d usually text this to my friends but I think I’ve made them sick w the amount I talk about this show hahahahah
Julie created a show that showcased people of so much diversity and gave them all an equal output for their stories. But more than just the stories of these characters; she created a show that didn’t feel like a show. We had the opportunity, as viewers, to see how the characters lives played out real time through texts and social media posts. WHAT AN ORIGINAL IDEA?!!!! Never have I seen a show that followed that theme and to be able to follow the characters on social media and watch their lives as if they were real - an amazing twist. In an era where I feel as if there seems to be a lack of originality - with movies and shows being “based on the life of/true story” or remakes of old time classics - to see such a change is refreshing.
Not only did she create this whole other world for us to be a part of - her show was such a phenomenon that A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER COUNTRIES have decided to remake the stories, w the same ideas and twists.
As a Muslim girl I never thought I’d watch a show that dedicated a whole season to a Muslim character that shed a positive light on both the character and the religion. I never ever felt completely attached to a character and was able to relate, until Sana. I am so proud to be a part of this fandom ♥️
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!!!!
ok but skam literally was so ahead of its time and i appreciate and love it forever
also it got me into Norwegian music, and for that i am forever grateful
PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST: INTERVIEW MUSLIM OG SKAM FANS ABOUT SANA
UPDATE 15/05/20 - I have now finished this project so am no longer looking for fans to interview.
Hi folks!
I’m a PhD student and I’m working on an (academic) article about (original) Skam fandom.
I’m looking to interview Muslim girls and women in their teens or early twenties who were/are active in Skam fandom on their thoughts and feelings about Sana Bakkoush. I’m particularly interested in interviewing Muslim fans who created fanworks (e.g. gifsets, art, fic, aesthetics, meta, vids, fancams, etc.) focusing on Sana.
If you or anybody you know are interested, please message me on here or on Twitter for more information! In the meantime, I’d really appreciate it if you could signal boost this post!
Takk for alt.
We stan Jonas from OG Skam 🙏🏻
