I've seen the leaked clips and the bts and i firmly believe they edited important things out by higher orders because is obvious that they actually filmed good material and going with the original script but something shifted during the second part and the only thing saving it was Tian and Ziyu's performances because the plot got lost there.

Sadly I'm not surprised if that may be possible if it's the investors for some odd reason. A part of me also says someone on the team is "fighting back" to punish based on some fans behavior the last weeks. It's really unfair to the actors and the people behind the scenes who had nothing to do with it. If the sabotage was self-inflicted I cannot wrap my head around why they'd let outside factors influence their decisions unless like you said, they got pressured from a higher up and had no choice. It's a shame to wonder what the show could have been. I agree, Tian and Ziyu's acting and chemistry and acting really saved the show and covered a lot of the flaws in the plot. I wouldn't have started the show if it wasn't for them. I'm happy that Tian and Ziyu got their roles because RL would be a lot different than the one we have seen ❤️
